Great value in return for Harvin. It was becoming more clear that him and Minny wasnt going to work out so the trade had to be done. Makes the Dolphins two 3rd's in return for Marshall look even more like **** now.

I think chemistry wise that Mike Wallace would've been a better fit for Seattle than Harvin, but maybe the Seahawks felt he was already gone to Miami.
This deal works short term but Percy is one of those guys who's just sour. Either he's going to clash with Golden Tate, or curse out Pete Carroll.
Or try to lump up Marshawn Lynch.
I think the Vikes totally chumped the Seahawks on this deal.
Mike Wallace has shown hes a diva as well so there is no reason to go with one over the other in that regard. As a player I think Percy is better all around. If they had any thought on going receiver in the first they made a good move on getting a young/proven player. You're trying to find any possible negative about this.

I would rather have Wallace almost solely based on health. However, Percy is dynamic and he's going to be perfect for Russell Wilson. He's going to make him look A LOT better than he really is. Their return team is going to be deadly. I can only imagine what the ST coordinator is thinking.
I am very curious as to how they got so much for him. Unless we get something similar, in the public eye at least, any Revis trade is going to look real bad. Kudos to the Vikes.

What's next for the Vikings? They now have $20m in cap space and Victor Cruz is a RFA with the Giants tight against the cap. Greg Jennings perhaps and a 1st rd WR?
I just don't understand why people are calling it a good trade for the Hawks? Harvin is a very good player, but he's not a great one. He makes explosive plays happen all the time, but how is he worth 3 draft picks plus 10-12 million a year. Never had 1,000 yards rec, Never had 10 or more Td's, Has missed games for many reasons and split a locker room already.
Is he a great return man yes, but the Hawks had one already. For as good as Harvin is as a return man he needs to be that good as a WR for this contract and trade to work out for the Hawks.

Mike Wallace was upset because the Steelers rarely pay their stars market value, but he's not a malcontent.
Percy has a bug up his ass all the time over random crap.
I'd much rather have Mike Wallace on my team and in my locker room than Harvin.
BTW, if Seattle drafted Harvin to be a #1 WR, I don't think they get that level of production out of him.
It was a great trade for the Vikes, I'm still waiting to see if it works for the Seahawks.

And Spielman has not reached out to Simpson, Aromashodu or Molasses Mike(thank god). Hopefully hes got some kind of plan. lol

Harvin, if he stays on the field, is a great player.
If you want to cite risks and outside factors or injury possibilities that's fine but you can't question his on field worth. You just can't.

The plan is for Ponder to exist in the 2 seconds from taking the snap and handing the ball off to Boobie

Yeah totally. They got us good. Like when we stole Hutch.
I learned today via Twitter that his twitter handle is @poisonpill76. That made me laugh because we signed him to that deal and then the Seahawks signed the same deal to Nate Burelson.
Sad to see Percy go. Not as much as I was with Sidney Rice though. I would love to still have Sidney.

Me either, particularly in this draft. Theoretically You won't find a player as good as Harvin in the late first. At most it's a roll of the dice so why not go with the sure thing as long as you have the cap space to ensure he stay's. Looking at this from a game perspective, this is the perfect place for Harvin. From a read option standpoint, from a slot standpoint, and from a return standpoint, Harvin could be the ultimate weapon for them imho.
I know Harvin is a good return man, but with a big contract is it worth risking him to do returns? A guy like Hester who can't really contribute in other ways should return all the time, but Harvin will be an important offensive piece.
Ravens are going to be in a similar position this year. Jones is a great return man but now he will be our #2 WR. I'm not sure I want him back there, despite the huge plays he can produce. I would hold my breath when Webb did it too.
