I think the Rams are gonna go hard after one of the FA tackles. I'm predicting Phil Loadholt. I was really high on him coming out of Oklahoma.

Seahawks get Harvin, 49ers get Boldin, The NFC West is getting tougher.

What do you guys think about trading #16 to the Giants for Victor Cruz? I keep going back and forth on it. It would suck to get rid of the draft pick, but Cruz is only 26 years old and a proven talent in the league.

He'd be my 2nd rated "available" receiver. Ahead of Jennings, just behind Wallace.

HELLLLL YEAAAAAA. It's perfect, I love it. It makes sense. As long as we don't have to throw in a 2nd or 3rd, I'm in.

I don't have much interest in giving up a mid-first round pick for Cruz and then having to pay him $10-11 million per year on an extension. No thanks.

Free Agency is always fun. And I'm off school and work tomorrow, I'll be home all day checking ****. It's hilarious, if Rams don't do anything an hour into free agency 80% of Rams fans will call for Jeff Fishers head. Entertainment at its finest.

Some good news to start - Looks like the Rams will Re-Sign DL William Hayes and they are also going after CB Brent Grimes. Grimes would help in the secondary.

I would have to agree. Why lose a pick and then pay a guy that much, when you could pay a guy like Mike Wallace that money and then use the pick on someone else.

The Rams and tight end Jared Cook have agreed to a five-year deal.

Safety Louis Delmas is on his way to St. Louis for a visit tonight. Offensive tackle Jake Long is visiting tomorrow.

Cook is a great signing; he'll essentially replace Amendola in the slot, except with more size and speed. Long and Delmas make me a bit nervous.

Long is going to want top OT money even though his play has declined the last two years. If the Rams give it to him, needless to say, I hope he regains his form.

Delmas has played in 19 games over the past two years. He has a connection with the Rams' new defensive coordinator, but staying healthy will be key.

I really like the Cook signing. It's about time we have a TE that makes opponents pay rather than the other way around.

I also really like Delmas, although I don't know much about his injury situation. When I have seen him play he was around the ball all the time.

Long, I'm kind of meh on that front. Only if it doesn't break the bank.

Bushrod just got $36 million over five years from the Bears with nearly $18 million guaranteed I believe. It goes without saying that Long's going to be shooting for more than that.

I also hear Brent Grimes is going to visit the Rams tomorrow.

Love the Cook signing. Now we can also go two TE sets that are still pass threats.

Delmas would come cheap and he will know the system.

Long will ask for money but if he pans out he is worth it.

As of 2 hours ago, Jim Thomas shot down any Rams interest.

If we sign Long and Delmas how does that change your draft board if at all? Can you imagine...

RT - Saffold
RG - Dahl
C - Wells/Turner
LG - Warmack
LT - Long

Or does a first round Lineman become less likely?

Either Warmack or Cooper at one of the two first round picks is still the pick. The Rams need to get younger, bigger and better at the guard spot and both of those guys can fill that spot from day 1. I'm still up in the air on the other pick in the first round WR, LB, DL, DB.

I can still see Warmack falling to #16...maybe even #22. I think Cooper is there at #22 for sure. Call me crazy, but the way people were talking about Castro last year, he still fell to #24, and this year's class of linemen is better than last.

With Harvin and Boldin entering the division, I think we will definitely see two picks in the secondary. I like a safety early and a corner in the middle rounds.

Has anyone heard rumors of us talking to a WR? If not I think the writing is on the wall for us to pick one. I like Patterson a lot, except for his hands. But Roddy White had questionable hands coming out, and he has developed into a very good one. Patterson reminds me a lot of him. I also like Chris Harper a lot in the 3rd round. He reminds me a lot of Boldin; not real fast but he gets open, runs very good routes, and is super dependable. I also think he will be more durable than Amendola.

My issue with looking at Long, a)the money he'll want, b)2 years of nagging injuries and c)this assumption that Saffold (who is coming off his best year as a pro imo) can make the switch to RT and perform at any reasonable level.

The Jared Cook move would be a good move if he was paid like he's performed. But for some reason he's been paid like he's already realised his potential. Little bit concerned about that.

Also, Hi again, not been around for a while, hope all are well.

BREAKING NEWS: It is being reported by Rotoworld and the Miami Sun Sentinel that Jake Long has passed his physical exam and is now a St. Louis Ram.

Contract details are not available at this time....

Also, it is being reported that Rodger Saffold will demand a trade if the Rams sign Jake Long. So there is that to consider for what it's worth.....

I wonder if the Rams will ask Long to play right tackle for this year while they decide what they want to do with Saffold. The reason for this is that many projected Long to be a better right tackle because of his run blocking prowess. Nobody has ever said that about Saffold.

Stay tuned......

The Long news was premature. According to Jim Thomas a little earlier, he's still takin the physical and they haven't talked contract terms.

Hmmm...this smells funny. Kinda like the way Rob Ryan was a done deal. Makes me wonder if there is a hangup and the deal won't work out after all.. Rumors are swirling around that if we sign Long, then Saffold will demand a trade. Maybe the Rams are reconsidering...

Heard the Rams were still going through the physical with Jake. Nothing on Delmas though, just that he's visiting today.

I tend to agree, it makes me a bit nervous. Long's going to want big money, at least $8 million per year if not more IMO. The problem is he's not played like the Top 3 OT he was a couple years ago, so which Long are you getting for the money? And Saffold @ RT seems like a poor fit for me, which is one reason I wasn't surprised at all to hear the rumor that he will request a trade if Long is brought in. He knows he'll need to play LT to cash in as a free agent next year, and if he moves to right tackle and has a bad season, he could cost himself millions.

We could just see Jake Long at RT next year and Saffold at Left. Jake would be a better Right Tackle than he is a Left.

If that is the case I would rather just pass on Long and draft KYLE Long in the 2nd round
