Stop ******* suggesting Reggie Bush, Joique Bell played better than him last year and he'll be much cheaper to bring back.

I like Stafford dumping it off to Bush and him lining up in the slot. That could be very dangerous. I really haven't seen him much once he went to Miami though. Bell is our best runner right now in my opinion. Leshoure will be another year removed from his achilles injury. He is either going to have that extra burst or its going to be gone forever.

Bell only had 80 carries. Bush is a better returner, receiver and more explosive player than Bell. I do like Bell and his 5 YPC but I don't trust it with 150 carries.
They'll get Bell back too for 630 K. Reiff, a new RG and hopefully Backus/Sims run blocking better hopefully fix the rushing offense and Bush will give us big play ability at RB and returns. Must be the right price though. We shall see on the contract.

Yah, Bush and Bell aren't mutually exclusive. I want both. Stafford had one of the worst ypas on short passes in the league. Bush can help that as well as give our run game some big play ability.

I'd like Bush, but as a guy who will split 1st and 2nd down with LeShoure and contribute as a returner. I really like Bell. He's the perfect 3rd down back with his blocking and receiving ability.

I like what Bush could bring to this offense but I fear we don't have cap room.

Wouldn't hate signing Bush, but I'm sure we could find a pass catching RB in the draft at some point.. maybe Giovani Bernard could be a target.
I'd rather spend whatever money we have on Defense and improving the OL.

Do people not realize how incredibly mediocre at everything Bush was last year? He didn't do a goddamn thing in the passing game and he wasn't elusive.

Bush had 4.3 YPC and 8 TDs with over 200 carries. 2011 he had 5 YPC. He's a receiving threat and has some return ability. He's not as explosive as Best but you still have to account for him.
I actually like Felix Jones though if Bush gets too pricey.

Bush is a threat for every team and thats what matters most. We need the threat of a screen to keep defenses honest. Bush should be able to screen out to Calvins side every down and be open.
ALso love the idea of Bell and Bush in the backfield together with Stafford in the shotgun. Should drive defenses crazy

I kinda like the direction we went today. I question Reggie Bush as an every down back but they are really shaping the draft right now. FS, OG, and DE. That's the top of the list for rounds 1-3.

Yeah I agree. CB is certainly still an option as well.
With the way we just let Avril walk, I really think "Ziggy" Ansah is our target at 5. That is of course with the assumption that Joeckel, Fischer and Milliner are off the board

Bush wasn't great last year, but still broke a handful of big runs. 16 rushes of 15+ yards. That was 6th in the league and two more than Chris Johnson, on 50 less carries. The Lions as a team had seven rushes of 15+ yards.

I'll take 4.3 YPC over 200 carries and a receiving threat any day for 4 million per year. 5 YPC in 2011.

I thought this would happen this year, but I thought Mayhew would have asked him to wait until after the draft. I don't think Reiff is a LT and we will take whatever OT is there at 5. Hopefully a team trades up for Geno Smith and Fisher is there at 5. If Joekel and Fisher are gone do we then take Lane Johnson?

Yes. Probably. They could go Ansah though.

Ansah
Jarvis

CB is still an option but I think we could see them pick another one up as there are a ton of current CB FAs that could compete with Bill Bentley for the starting position.

I don't really want a corner...Houston, Bentley, and allow Jonte, Greenwood, and the rest to grow. Quin can cover like a corner if matchups dictate it. I think we have the bodies and just need a DE or two for the defense instead.
Fisher
Joeckel
Ansah
Milliner

Right now I am really hoping Fischer falls to us at 5. Our secondary looks good right now, we have a hole at DE, and we could use a LB.
My boards is:
Fischer
Ziggy
Milliner
That's with the assumption that Joeckel is off the board. I wouldn't complain if we took Milliner over Ziggy because he would be BPA and he would give us a great secondary, but I think Ziggy fits the defense well and could be a beast next to Suh.
Biggest need is oline now however with us losing both our OTs.
My dream outcome:
1) Fischer
2) DaMontre Moore
3) Barrett Jones or Long
