Sounds strange, but then again, maybe they have caught Ziggy fever :D

I think we immediately need:

RG/C - Velasco takes the spot of whichever we don't get.
DE - Need someone to pair with Morgan, despite the $$ tied up in Wimbley. At the very least need depth.
CB - Our pass coverage was awful last year.

A case can be made for other spots without a doubt, but they all fall below those 3. Just my opinion. Wide receiver almost, ALMOST, made the list. Especially if Nate is on his way out.

Or maybe Eugene Amano and Quinn Johnson are the new Lamont Thompson and Donnie Nickey.

Wow, I really loved his ability to play both DE and move inside to DT. Disappointing

Only thing I know about that Matt dude is he is big. The #'s he's put up seem ok. I read he had like 10 TFL's last year.

Maybe he can hang...but we still need the Ziggy!!!

Raiders fans told p2w that he's a good run stuffer, but just an ok pass rusher. But that's ok since he'd be a depth/situational player. They seem to like him and want him back. Say he could be a pretty good player if not for injury. I remember him coming out of UConn, but that was kinda before I knew anything about scouting.

Gibson would be a solid #5 WR, but where would we put him? If we cut Lavelle or trade Hands, I'd rather draft a guy with starting potential.

We seriously need some depth at DE... who are our back-ups? Scott Solomon? Keyunta Dawson? gross.

I like Shaughnessy quite a bit, assuming he comes at a reasonable price. He didn't have the best year last year, and was hurt the year before that but played very well his first two seasons IMO. He's 6'5" 285 and would be a solid addition to our rotation.

I'm the same with you on Gibson, he'll likely come cheaper than Washington, and we can cut Lavelle and save a little money but Gibson still isn't going to be a top WR for us.

I'd rather draft who can play a #3 or #4 spot for us as a rookie with the hopes of growing.

Also, I think Dustin Keller is going to turn out to be one of the free agent bargains. I like Walker, but I'm not sure he's a legit TE threat and Keller played well with Sanchez as his QB early on in his career on a run dominant team, he's a better run blocker than people give him credit for

Yeah, I've liked what I've been hearing about Shaughnessy. He does seem like a 3-4 DE guy, but I think he could be useful as a rotational guy who can swing between DE and DT depending on the situation. He seems to have potential, as Raider fans said he was an up and coming guy before his injury.

I like that we are going for a combination of proven and upside guys. Levitre will come in and be a stud and we know what Greene and Walker bring to the table. Guys like SLH and Shaunessy have upside and could prove to be great value on their contracts.

Never know, we could land KVB type deals again. At least they are landing guys that fill specific roles they feel we need.

We may land another guy with some upside, LB Brad Jones. He did a number on us last year, and looks like he played fairly well when starting for the Pack. He has decent size, and it looks like his Pro Day #'s show a good athlete. I like Shaw and Bailey. Not sure if Adibi and Diles are still signed, but I like those guys too. Nothing wrong with competition for depth though. I just hope McCarthy gets back to rookie form and stay healthy...

Yeah, I'd really like it if we signed Brad Jones.

Also sounds like Shaughnessy signed with AZ

Shaughnessy heard the chants of "Ziggy! Ziggy! Ziggy!" from Baptist Sports Park and just turned away.

Excuse me now, I have to go get back in on the chant...

At this point I'd guess Ziggy will be gone by 10 (saying at this point because draft buzz goes all over the place as it gets nearer). I think if I'm the Titans though, I try to plan to move up if need be.

We may have been 6-10, but I think we have no glaring holes that require high picks or lots of picks for depth when you figure in our FA's and recent draft picks. Those guys we got are going to play...whether they are good or not lol. 8-9 draft picks may be a luxury we can trade off to try and target a guy.

To me its down to DE or CB. Ziggy is my first choice, but I wouldn't hate a Werner pick. Milliner is obviously the top CB, but Trufant and Rhodes solidified themselves as very good prospects with their workout numbers.

I think we can get our RG/C in another round. Starting interior OL can usually be found in the middle rounds and this draft is particularly deep on the OL.

It also seems like we have been looking for a run stopping DE, which makes sense considering the fact that our run defense out of the nickel was terrible. Ansah fits that and is very strong against the run due to his strength, length, and experience playing inside. Because of that inside experience he can also slide to DT on passing downs.

The desire for a bigger, run stopper at DE does make me question why we didn't make a harder run at Bennett though.

I heard that horseshit mentality last year about DeCastro and the Titans didn't draft a single interior OL in the late rounds.

I just don't think the coaches liked DeCastro as much as the draftniks did, I didn't like him as much as others did either. When I watched the film I just didn't see it with DeCastro.

I think last season we thought we could do with what we had on the roster once we missed out on Wells and Myers. I think we learned from last season that we needed help, and we went out and got the best guard in FA.

As much as a I hate it, I think we are planning on keeping Amano and starting him at RG this season
