Minnesota played well out of conference, but they're nowhere near the same team; they've moved back in caliber play. They've lost 11 of their last 16 games and that's terrible, especially considering they didn't win a road/neutral site game in that stretch.
Right, I still think they make it, but you really have to be subjective when saying you look at the whole season vs. last 10 (or 15). This is an obvious case where Minnesota is not the same team they were in OOC play, not even close.
That said, I fully expect them to make it and spring an upset round 1 just because it would make the perfect amount of nonsense for their season.
PSU getting Frazier back next season will be big. With the way they've started playing the last handful of games, some new guys stepped up this season, I think next year could be a surprisingly good year for them (somewhere around middle of the pack in conference). I also really like Chambers as a coach.
I've seriously never seen a team with such a poor halfcourt offense than the Gophers.
Oh wait.. I have.. every single season since Tubby has been coach.
"Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya."
Villanova lucky it's this close. They need to hope the game is called a little closer the rest of the way because the more physical Louisville is the more they'll continue to turn it over, and they need to score from the line.
Archidiacano or however the **** you spell his name needs to be a lot stronger and smarter with the ball and the team as a whole needs to start handling this pressure with more composure. You have to be on pace for like 35 turnovers.
The team as a whole obviously isn't handling the pressure well. It's tough because they only have like 2 or 3 ballhandlers, Arch has to be gassed from playing basically all game against St. John's pressing yesterday. Tough for him as their primary ballhandler and a freshman (who didn't play his senior year in HS due to injury).
That lob is stupid too, but it's a way of slowing them down from jumping those passes up the court and getting steals that way which they've been very effective at I guess. But I don't like it.
