Well hell no because the logic behind it has no consistency to it.

When the opposing QB has a bad game, the credit immediately goes the defense... whereas when Sanchez has a bad game, it's because he sucks.

The Steelers outrushed the Jets two fold in that game... meaning Ben was playing with the benefit of an effective rushing attack... as opposed to Sanchez.

The Jets didn't fail to reach the superbowl in 2010 because of Sanchez, that's the point.

Sanchez exceeded expections at first but really hant done anything since then. The Jets need a new QB. Sanchez is a bust for me because he has failed to establish himself as a franchise QB. He has thrown for 68 TDs and 69 INTs and is going to be in an open competition with a QB coming off the couch.

Stafford has easily justified being the #1 pick. I don't care that he's got flaws. He's one of the 10-15 most desirable QBs in the league. That makes him worth #1 overall.

First round picks in 2009 that are no longer with the team that drafted them (cut or traded for peanuts): Jason Smith, Aaron Curry, Darrius Heyward-Bey, Aaron Maybin, Beanie Wells.

First round picks in 2009 that are no longer with the team that drafted them (traded for significant assets): Vontae Davis, Percy Harvin

First round picks in 2009 that are currently free agents: Andre Smith.

First round picks who have been disappointing on the field to the degree that they are probably not in the long-term plans for the team that drafted them: Tyson Jackson, Mark Sanchez, Knowshon Moreno, Larry English, Robert Ayers, Donald Brown, Ziggy Hood

Did I miss anybody or miscategorize anybody?

Picks I was correct on -

Jason Smith - I thought if he went to a team that didn't run a ZBS he would bust. The Rams playing him at RT in a power running scheme was the worst fit possible.

DHB - I didn't like him no matter where he was picked. He isn't a natural hands catcher and those guys don't become even solid number one targets.

Knowshon Moreno - I did and still think he would be a pro bowler if he was in a ZBS. He hasn't been in a running game that fit his skill set until this year. The injures haven't helped him either.

Picks I missed -

Andre Smith - I thought Andre Smith by this time would be one of the most dominate RT's in the league. I have heard he has improved ever year just thought he'd be further along.

There were other guys I missed on but they have already been mentioned.

He's actually become much more of a hands catcher in the past 2 years. He is able to go up and attack the ball in the air. Don't be surprised if he improves on his 2011 campaign.

In 2011 under Hue Jackson, DHB was playing good football. If he wasn't put in Hue's doghouse for 4 weeks (for whatever reason) he would have smashed 1,000 yards. He's a hard working player and on the right team, he'll do big things.

Ayers actually I wouldn't say bust, a disappointment maybe though. But then again he was drafted onto a 3-4 team when he's not a 3-4 defender. That made him practically useless for 2 seasons, before finally being a solid contributor the past 2 seasons, being a decent run defender.
Worth a 1st round pick? Absolutely not.

Exactly, some players more then others need a good environment. I don't think DHB was all that different from Torrey Smith, but their development was completely different. Sadly for him the Jets are showing interest so it'll be more of the same for him. Maybe New England signs him and he can at least run deep 90% of the time?

He did look much better in 2011, he can play, he isn't a stud #1 WR but I don't think he's garbage like Troy Williamson. Considering his team, QB's he's played with, and the fact that he was already raw, played a huge role so far.

Regardless, there is still no way Heyward-Bey should have been picked over Crabtree. That was another Raiders pick that seemed stupid at the time and is still stupid today.

Well yea I don't think anyone could argue against that. DHB was a 2nd round pick to me especially in that class of WR's. I just feel like he's a solid player who didn't really get much help in the way of development.

wallace was everything that the raiders hoped DHB would be, but DHB is not a bad player, hes exactly what many thought he would be people just get so angry with hatred at players when they are drafted too high and paid way to much money....i cant blame DHB for that though, there were like 5 WRs i had higher than him...crabtree, maclin, britt, harvin, and nicks. Hes just like mike wallace, maybe he sucks a little bit more but since when is that a big deal lol

tyson jackson is the 5 tech i imagined him to be, evander hood is a terrible terrible failure...not jacksons fault pioli gave him 30+ million guaranteed money

Tyson Jackson has been beyond worthless on passing downs his entire career and has had only one or two seasons as a solid run defender. How is he not a bust?

How about the worst drafting ever by anyone with that responsibility. Josh McDaniels knowshon Moreno 12th then Robert ayers 18th and then he trades the next years 1st which turns out to be Earl Thomas for Alphonso smith pick 30 something 2nd round. All this after trading Cutler, I truly believe Belichek sent him to Denver to ruin the team.

I remember when Tebow had his "good" year, people were singing the praises of McDaniels' hidden genius. And by people I mean Tebow's weird followers.
