You can say whatever you want, Long is playing left, Saffold is playing right until he absolutely bombs. I'm not even sure why you're trying to act like there is even a remote chance of anything else happening here.

It is sad, they wouldn't even have to go crazy in FA they would only need to sign a few key players but they never do. How about at least lock up Andre Smith and Michael Johnson? How about upgrading Terrance Newman? Since they love former Cowboy player projects Mike Jenkins makes a ton of sense. They draft semi good, but let all their players walk, and never sign anyone in FA.

Better keep that money around 50 million in cap space, things could get tight I guess.

Even though the salary cap floor is often misunderstood, the Bengals are going to have to be spending fiends in the next three years to make up for how ridiculously low they are under it right now.

Actually, I guess it's not that bad. At the start of free agency, the Bengals had roughly 80 mil in salaries, about 19 million under the salary cap floor.

The contracts of Robert Geathers (3.25 mil), Michael Johnson (11.25 mil), Wallace Gillbury (2.5 mil), and Kevin Huber (2.7 mil) get them over.

So...take that back. Bengals appear fine. Oddly enough, they may actually be better cap-wise to not work out a longterm deal with Johnson unless they can frontload it or sign someone else.

The Browns actually appear to be further under the cap than the Bengals. They've made one big signing (Kruger), but Kruger's deal is more cap friendly than a franchise tag because it's spread out. I'm not sure what their rookie salary pool is, but they are likely still considerably under the salary cap floor.

Edit: The Browns frontloaded the Desmond Bryant to count 8 mil against the cap this year. You know your team is cheap as **** when it's frontloaded contracts to get under the salary cap floor.

According to Adam Schefter Bengals have re-signed Rey Maualuga to a 2-year, 6.5 mill deal.

Add in we are still working on Andre Smith, Adam Jones, Terrance Newman and have began discussions on extending Geno Atkins (will be highest paid DT) and Carlos Dunlap; and we have a good chunk of change to spend on our own guys.
Plus we are using the new roll over in the new CBA to set up the AJ and Andy fund.

Nnamdi does not deserve his own 'watch'. Why would anyone be that interested in where a below average starter ends up?

It's been reported the 49ers never offered him a contract. Told him if he was interested he can get an offer after he's finished visiting other teams.

Because your starting CB's weren't Patrick Robinson, a rookie safety, and a 3rd round camp body.

Anybody who even halfway defends Aso's play or roots for their team to sign him I'm 100% positive they did not see him play last year. I've never understood that, why in the **** would you root for your team to sign a terrible player?

Yea, great reasoning. I guess the Browns have been pereniall all stars the last few years which is the only reason Joe Haden looked so good.

hes not a terrible player..he was used absolutely terribly though. He didnt just lose all of his skills that we saw during all the debates of whos better asomugha or revis.

If you try making him asante samuel you quickly realize hes not asante samuel

Like I said, this is the reason why you are defending him because you didn't watch him very much, if at all, just saying the same old thing everyone recycles on here. I saw Aso destroyed in press man coverage over and over last year vs WR's who were average players at best. Tracking the ball in the air has nothing to do with scheme. I'm not gonna act like I know for sure the reason(s) his play dropped off so much, but at some point we have got to stop acting like it was just because he played zone.

Even if that was the reason(which it isn't), let's be honest, who wants a CB that is that terrible anytime you call zone? What DC's call aggressive man schemes 100% of the time? Or do you just take him out when you call zone because he's going to get burned?
