Xavier is a really nice player, but not a great scheme fit, especially if we are moving to more zone looks this year. Not out of the question, but I could see players like Mingo, Jarvis Jones,Tank Carradine or even Tyler Eifert as more likely picks for Miami.

I'm not so sure I'd like to see any more rounds from you sir.

I don't think the Bills are impressed with Geno or any QB for that matter for the #8 pick. That is why they signed Kolb. We will take a QB at some point, but we are likely to address our other needs at 8 first. (OG,WR#2,Pass Rusher).

What is your logic for the Jets taking Lotuleilei? Where would he play? 2 downs at NT? Would he even win the job over Ellis? OLB, S, G, and TE are HUGE needs so if a top 10 OLB is there they will likely go that direction and if not, Warmack. Very little else makes much sense for the Jets. I just don't see them throwing in the towel on Ellis, he's been solid as a 2 down block eating NT

Honestly with a line like Wilkerson, Star, Ellis, and Coples it wouldnt even matter who was playing OLB, thats a lot of beef and power to block consistently

That's not enough quickness/athleticism for a 4 man front (especially with how passing oriented the league is) too many guys for a 3 man front, though.

You do know we run a 3-4 not a 4-3 right?

And even if we ran a 4-3, Wilkerson would play DT so our line would be Wilkerson Ellis/lotuleilei Coples at LE and we would desperately need a weak side edge rusher, so Mingo would still be the pick.

yeah i know that, i kinda meant it as a rotation as kendrick ellis isnt 3 down player. Even when they play a base 34 they could kick coples out as a pass rusher, hes not really an OLB but he can play that role on passing downs if they big guys are all there.

I have heard they are really high on Mingo though, I would just like him to keep falling so dont hate my justifications lol. Could still see them taking star if he falls, hes pretty clearly a top 5 player

Of course he's worth the pick at 9, but I just don't see where he fits. It'd be like if Geno Smith were available when the Packers pick at 26. Sure itd be a good value pick, but it's a position that they're set at so it doesn't make much sense. I don't think Coples is a nickel outside rusher, he is strictly a 5 tech on early downs and interior rusher on passing downs and if in a 4-3, a strong side DE

Another mock, another Ogletree-to-Bears pick. Arthur Brown is the better pick. Every Bears fan will tell you that.

Exactly. The Jets basically have 3 passing down interior linemen already. For a 3-4 front they have everyone, and a 4-3 they're missing a weak side DE. They need edge guys. In basically every possible front Star, as good as he is, is redundant.

There is no way on God's green earth that the 49ers would select a large, slower DE - not their style, not their scheme.

I would be shocked if the Steelers pass on Patterson with their WR situation/holes.

I agree with the Jets conversation in regards to they will go Mingo, Jordan, or J. Jones before DT that's for sure.
