Not used being in the lottery. I don't know how to handle this.

The players projected in 12-15 spots are not all that appealing. GBIII may have the best upside so I'd be okay with that. MCW I'm iffy about, just because of his jumper. Lord forbid the mavs go after one of the bigs in this range. Olynyk, Plumlee and Gobert look like NBDL or overseas lifers to me.

What handling abilities? He's a mediocre at best passer and his shooting isn't nearly good enough to overcompensate for the lack of every other skill he has. You let go of the shooting specialist in Korver for the much worse version of him.

There's no way I wouldn't take Nerlens at #1 to be honest. I think he just offers such a unique skillset, and paired with his athleticism; he's got so much potential. He was becoming absolutely dominant on defense before he went down and was singlehandedly keeping Kentucky in games when they shouldn't have even been close. I like his D more than I liked Davis on D, but Davis had a more polished offensive game because of having played guard earlier in his career. I thnk Noel is the clear-cut #1 pick in this draft.

i think a lot of eyes will be on his medical evaluation. The fact that this is the second major injury to the same knee at this age is concerning (potential growth plate issue, i read) If it checks out, I'd love to have him.

Poythress and Willie are staying. UK looks stupidly stacked next year. Imagine if Wiggins decides to go there.

Even if the medical came back ok, I would still be hesitant to draft him. 7 foot post players with no meat on their bones that run the court like gazelles are bound to get hurt again. Is the dude capable of adding 35-40 pounds?

I mean seriously... Greg Oden got drafted over Durant because of the same belief that he would get over his injuries. Doctors gave the Sonics the green light back then too!

Some will just tell you "doood like at tyson chandler when he came in." He was thin too iirc. I really don't know if Noel can make the same kind of drastic overhaul on his body though. He very well could get shoved around quite a bit. He's a massive gamble, for sure. I like Alex Len also, so.

I wouldn't have minded Cauley-Stein either with the Lakers pick if he declared

I would easily take Len over Noel. Len is a baller. He knows how to play the game.

Coming from a guy who watches Maryland all the time.. considering im here..

Len has flashes of 15 and 10 but he will not be able to do that in the NBA guys.

Len over Noel is really, really dumb.

Noel didn't flash any more special ability this year than Len and then add in the fact that Len is a legit 7 footer than can move around the basket.

Noel is a massive game changer on defense (his ability to force pressure both by blocking shot and forcing turnovers is incredible for someone his size) and is a far better rebounder.

I'm not taking away from his defensive prowess, but I just don't think Noel is that special or will be any quicker adjusting to the NBA game than Len.

10 & 5 and 8 & 7 against UNC this year, and we have nobody that bangs inside.. JMM was 6'9ish and isn't the best of defenders, and he still didn't produce on us.

He's more special than Patrick O'Bryant 2.0.

Len also became a lot more aggressive towards the end of the year, coinciding with Maryland playing a lot better at the end of the year.

Not going to speak for Plumlee or Gobert but Olynyk can start for most NBA teams at the 4/5. He can face up and hit the mid range jumper and also put the ball on the floor. With only one real year of play he should have some good upside going forward. To say Olynyk is a developement or oversees type is a pretty lazy prediction if you've watched him play.

I thought that Steven Adams was better than Noel when they matched up last year at the highschool level. Jamie Dixon did very little for Adams' developement this year.

Len also outplayed Noel early this past season (Not saying he is or will be better). There's even footage of Noel and Drummond going head to head on youtube.

Adams has potential, I like him late in the first.

I wouldn't be surprised if Adams goes higher than that either.

I agree on Adams and his potential going to **** under Dixon's watch.

I strongly disagree, he has handled the ball and done way better than Korver ever did for us. Is he a shooting specialist? No, he has a much fuller offensive game. Unlike a shooting specialist he can drive a little bit, and he is better than any other two the Bulls have had at creating in awhile.

Is he a great player? No, but his solid offensive abilities help an offensively starved team more than a rookie who would get almost no time, and probably doesnt have the same skill level offensively.

He's averaging less than 4 assists per 48 minutes, you really need to stop with the allusion of him being a creator. He isn't. And no Korver doesn't take it inside as much as Marco, but Marco ******* sucks at it anyways so who cares.

DaShaun Thomas is going pro while Burke & Hardaway Jr. haven't made any decisions yet.
