Maybe they're going after Tyler Bray. Tough sell to an UDFA with 6 QBs under contract even though 2 are likely cut soon and 1 is a roster longshot.

Living in NY, im sick of the Jets and their three ring circus. They should try to trade Sanchez and Tebow to the highest bidder. If they cant get at least a 7th rounder for them, release them and move on. Take the cap hits now (like the Raiders are doing) so you'll have the cap room next year. Geno as the starter, Garrard as the veteran backup and Simms/McElroy as the third stringer and done. To me, keeping Sanchez and/or Tebow only hurts the team.

Whether they are cut now or cut June 1st it makes little difference, since your leftover cap space carries over to the following year. For example, if the Jets have 10 mil in space and cutting them now means you'd lose 5 mil in space this year, youd only have 5 mill carry over with no cap hit. The alternative is to cut them with the june 1st designation, so youd have the cap hit spread out between the 2 years, but you'd have more space this year to carry over. It works out about the same no matter what you do.

The biggest thing for the Jets is not prorated signing bonus but future guarantees with Sanchez. If Mark Sanchez is cut, all future guarantees are immediately assessed on the current cap year. If he is traded, then the Jets are only on the hook for prorates signing bonus. So Jets should pray they can find a trade partner for this bum.

Oh, and assessed guaranteed money penalties cannot be designated as June 1st penalties and assessed over 2 years.

Shocked he wasn't drafted. Was productive at a high level and while not an elite athlete his numbers matched up right there with Jarvis Jones. Not to say he's as good as Jones but there isn't a 7 round difference.

No one is going to trade for Sanchez unless we give them picks. Lets be honest here his contract is horrendous. He is getting released

Jets got Zach Rogers, WR, Tennessee. I really like him, amazing hands, think he has an excellent shot to make the 53-man competing with the likes of Clyde gates and Jordan white.

Ryan Spadora of Lehigh looks better than Rogers from what i've seen.
