Cleveland Browns

Positions of need: CB, LB, OL, S, QB

Needs Analysis: Michael Lombardi, you're on the clock. The Browns' new general manager must decide what to do with that No. 6 pick. Could the team find a corner to pair with Joe Haden? Free-agent additions Paul Kruger and Quentin Groves fill holes at outside linebacker, but new coordinator Ray Horton's attacking 3-4 scheme will need more pass-rushing help. Regarding the offense, the eternal quest for a franchise passer rages on. Brandon Weeden has lukewarm support from the organization, but the soon-to-be-30-year-old signal-caller must prove he can make faster, smarter decisions. Lombardi and CEO Joe Banner might have something up their sleeves here

Real Draft:
Round 1, Barkevious Mingo DE
Round 3, Leon McFadden CB
Round 6, Jamoris Slaughter SS
Round 7, Armonty Bryant DE
Round 7, Garrett Gilkey OT

Mock Draft:
Signings:

Jason Campbell, QB
David Nelson, WR
Kellen Davis, TE
Desmond Bryant, DE
Paul Kruger, OLB
Quentin Groves, OLB
Chris Owens, CB
Lawrence Tynes, K

7.21: Jonathan Stewart, ILB, Texas A&M University
Davone Bess, WR (acquired via trade)

UDFAs:
None

Can't realy say that I loved the entire job that was done here. Warmack was the best pick. Escobar was good value, but was it a need? Are the Browns gonna run some 2 TE sets with Kellen Davis and Gavin Escobar? The rest of the draft is mostly underwhelming. Tony Jefferson went too high. Klein, Johnson and Williams are all boring selections. I like the Stewart pick in Round 7. Even the mock FA was mostly blah. Jason Campbell, David Nelson, Desmond Bryant, Paul Kruger, Quentin Groves, Chris Owens.... The Brown stockpiling bench talent is just not gonna cut it. Just not a lot of positive things to say here. I'm guessing Weeden will be replaced next offseason. Will it be the Teddy Bridgewater sweepstakes for the Browns?

Mock Grade: C
Season Prediction: 3-13
