Sterling Sharpe was an amazing receiver and he springs to mind right away.
A guy I used to really like who never was truly injury free was Kelvin Bryant, he was a star in the USFL and a really good receiver out of the backfield for the Redskins. He got a ring in Superbowl 22.
In 3 seasons Bryant ran for 4056 yards and 41 TD's for the Philadelphia Stars. Had he been injury free he could have had a decent career.
Duuuudddeee.... I was such a huge Prothro fan even though it felt dirty because he was a Bammer. I think he would have had a very good pro career.
Completely O/T... He's really fallen off since his glory days at Bama, played him online on Xbox on NCAA 12 & 13 (beat him both times ) but he was a cool dude if that counts for anything? He had played a LOT of games though. Like 200+ if I remember correctly.
I did ask him about this though. Told me it was the luckiest thing he's ever done, but we had a good conversation about it. About the only thing he's really remembered for when in public he said.
