Call the Knicks, they'll probably give you like 3 unprotected firsts for any future draft that you can choose right after the lottery each year.

Sounds like a perfect situation to grab some high potential foreign players or some low ceiling role players to fit around Kyrie and Noel.

Bennett is one of the few guys in this class with all star potential. Not sure why no one seems to like him around here.

I like Bennett more than McLemore. I think people look at him as an undersized power forward and get scared away.

He's a bit undersized but being 240 pounds and having a 7'1 wingspan will help with that, along with the ability to eventually develop a legit outside game.

I see the lack of effort at times as being a bigger issue. I'd put him third in this class behind McLemore and Noel. Or maybe 4th behind Burke. Somewhere around there.

I absolutely LOVE Bennett. I think he's destined for stardom. Can't really say that about a lot of players, but he's the one I think of who can really end up being a perennial all-star.

Bennett is one of the few guys I think can come in right away and play huge minutes as a starter.

Looking to clear up enough for a max player hopefully two if somebody will just take Marion. So Roddy B (TO), Collison (TO) and Mayo (PO) will likely be gone.

And obviously CP3 and Dwight will be the targets.

Is unloading Marion enough or do you also need to unload Vince in order to afford 2 more max deals?

You maybe right. If we're able to unload Marion, we would only have Dirk, Jarred, Crowder and VC under contract. Which would leave us with $32 mill to play with. Which isn't enough. If I recall Max for the first year is about $17-18 mill correct?

Best case scenario is they both take a paycut to play together in Dallas, ala the trio in Miami. Which is a pipe dream.

Which gets me to thinking which teams would be willing to take on those 2 contracts just to get the #13 pick.

Orlando comes to mind as a possibility, but would there be others? The Magic aren't worried about having cap space this summer. But with Marion and Carter off the books next summer, that aligns with the Magic's current plan to have space in 2014. Plus the Magic have several TPE's including Dwight's $17M TPE. They could absorb both contracts.

The Bucks might be an option. With the loss of Ellis, JJ and Dunleavy to free agency the Bucks need depth at the 2 and 3. They need to add some more youth to the team as well and two top 15 picks would get that done.

Or all this could just end up worse then last summer. Mavs end up losing the #13 pick, don't get CP3 or Dwight, and we end up with Brandon Jennings and Tyreke Evans O_O

That's good to know. Is Ellis expected to opt out?

I would be stunned if he doesn't opt out. As a 27 year old guard he'd be wise to test the market and lock up a longer deal while setting aside the $11 million he'd be getting this year.

I actually like this draft better than the last two, sure there isnt an Anthony Davis or Kyrie Irving, but there are a few guys that I see could be really good #2 options on some of these lottery teams. Next year you can get your superstars, this year you can build your core.

I just don't know if he's command a starting salary at that high in these NBA times. He might play it out 1 more year.

At the very worse he could get 3yrs at the MLE and that's the bare minimum I think.

where is the white guy looking? some guy behind the scenes telling him when to release the ball? they don't even show us the numbers as they go in. could be any numbers in there. throw in the "cleveland again" to make it seem like its not all fake.

rigged.

I have watched a ton of Nerlens and I can't make up my mind with him. Guess I have no choice but accept it if I start doubting him.

Since they'll be taking him, I would really like to take a chance on Giannis if available (6'9, stupid length, good handles, ridiculous athleticism, passing, finishing at the rim) like irishfan suggested.
