Harvin is injury prone. I think the 'Hawks end up getting burned on this deal.

I understand the desire to sign a guy with his ability, but I don't trust his body.
A non-contact hip injury is awful.

How much was he re-signed for by Seattle???

A lot more than Victor Cruz, that's for sure. Plus they gave up a 1st and a 3rd.

With Wallace getting like a billion dollars to run a go route, Harvin getting more money to sit on the sidelines and choke out trainers and having to give up a 1st and a 3rd for him, I'm starting to realize we stole Victor Cruz with that extension.

Yes, but he knows that, and with his attitude toward the contract already, you'll have an unhappy Cruz next offseason if he puts up same or better #'s this season.

That's when we say "too bad *****" and kick our feet up.

In fact John Mara should send him a deal with it gif if that happens.

Im not worried about it. I do worry about him sometimes due to his long lanky frame sometimes tho.

AJ Green is my favorite WR in the game. I wish he didn't have a noodle arm qb throwing him the damn ball. Just imagine what he could be with a real quarterback.

This is true. Then when I heard this news it immediately made me think about this play:

And the force he hit the ground with, I was like this dude dislocated his hip probably. I still don't know that I can say Harvin is injury prone, but this type of injury before you even have contact practice is pretty damning.

Thank god for those fingers. That's all I gotta say.

Bc if those fingers didn't go out of bounds, I might have choked a baby that day.

Evidently his injury is very similar to what Sidney Rice went through a few years ago. Rice didn't get back on the field until week 11 that year.

I remember that Cowboy game like it happened yesterday. It's like Perry Fewell was trying to break the record held by Tim Lewis for World's Worst Defensive Coordinator or something.

God I hate Perry Fewell.

He is 25 and has had heel, Achilles, neck, quad, hip, knee, hamstring, ankle, and migraine issues. Yeah, too early to tell if he is injury prone.

Is he Jay Cutler? No.
Andy can put plenty on the ball. It's his mechanics and pocket awareness that lead to the bad throws.

He put everything he had in that ball to have it go 50 yards. In a dome.

When I first read this I thought it said carted off the field. Which would make the statement a lot more hilarious and Cleveland like.

And I have seen him throw 60+ at camp. Outside. In person.

If you actually watch he does an awful lot of unnecessary jumping around in the pocket (not just there, in general) and it costs him mechanics. He needs to get better there and the better long balls will follow.

Ok, I'll cede this. You know him a lot better than I do. I'm not a huge Dalton fan, in fact I'm probably one of his harsher critics, but I am curious to see how he plays this year.

He definitely has some toys to play with.

I don't think Dalton sucks or is a bad QB at all, I just don't think people should assume that because he is young he's going to consistently get better and better and make huge leaps like some other QB's do. I think he can be Matt Schaub good, and even produce numbers like Schaub did when he peaked a few years ago, but he won't be the type of QB to carry a team on his back which there isn't anything wrong with that.

Depending on how good the D can get, and the rest of the offense, he's good enough to win games in the playoffs, so I'll give him a few more years until I think he's peaked before being too hard on him. He's a really solid QB and you could do much worse.

I think Dalton will have a Chad Pennington like career, pre-injury. He'll get you to the dance, he'll win a playoff game here and there, but that's it.

He's a qb I wouldn't mind letting hit FA. I don't pay a billion dollars to Andy Dalton.

Pre-injury Pennington is a good comparison. You can win games with Dalton. He has done everything positive so far in his career. I don't see him ever being elite, but I think he can win a SB if they keep the talent level intact in Cinci. I want to see more opportunites before I can him a career playoff 1 and done guy. His situation is ideal in terms of offensive system and having AJ Green. Green is my #2 WR.

Charges lose backup LB

Quote:
Chargers ILB Jonas Mouton is out for the season after tearing his right ACL on the first day of training camp.
A second-round pick in 2011, Mouton missed his entire rookie season with a shoulder injury and then earned just five snaps last year. Now his third campaign is over before it starts. Mouton was scheduled to compete for a backup role behind starting inside linebackers Donald Butler and Manti Te'o. It's the second season-ending injury the Chargers' linebacking corps has suffered in the last three months -- Melvin Ingram tore his ACL during a minicamp practice.

If Joe Flaaco can win a SB, no reason Dalton can't. JMO
