And let's not forget that the judges in both cases... LSU Grads. Shocking that he didn't receive jail time.

I'm not getting this from random sports blogs. Pretty much every reputable sports site and newspaper reported Mathieu saying he failed 10+ tests.

A source close to the program vs. an NFL coach with no interest in protecting the program. Hmmm, who to believe?

UF WR Andre Debose tore his ACL, that's probably a wrap on his career. I feel so bad for him. This kid had all the potential in the world coming out of high school and was so talented. He was injured from the start of his career and never recovered.

So he did live up to Percy Harvin 2.0 then.

Whoever said Hill was suspended 2 games, Les Miles hasn't suspended him at all from any games yet, he hasn't "not" suspended him from any games, but the fact he still hasn't suspended him at all for violating probation is absurd.

To stay on that point: when Casey was suspended, I was glad he was, despite the fact we lost our best offensive player, he needed to learn his lesson from it all. So after starting 4-0 we suspend him only to lose to Iowa State that weekend. Nobody turned their heads in disgust at Gary Patterson, all the finger-pointing was at CP4 for being an idiot.

TCU suspends their starting QB. He is reinstated only after completing a substance abuse rehab program. LSU allows a RB who sucker punches a guy while on probation for a sexual offense against a minor, to stay on the team.

Yup, that's the same thing.

He's just mad all his starting players are quitting on him.

And Jeremy Hill is entering anger management as part of his probation. There's been guys kicked off our team before they even got to campus. Y'all are judging a man on this one situation and quite frankly it's not fair to him.

It's because Hill doesn't play for their team dude. It's a lose-lose argument with some people around here. Bar fights happen on every damn college campus in the nation, they just don't get publicized like they do in Baton Rouge. It's just the way it is.

I was happy CP4 was suspended after getting his DWI, he was ruining his talents with drinking (whoever said meth, that's real nice of you), so he was kicked off the team and sent to rehab for a season before finally being reinstated to the team, while remaining still on probation. It doesn't matter if it's LSU, TCU, Bama, OU, or any small FCS schools, if there's no consequences for your actions what lesson does that teach?

And to GP being mad about having players quitting, Tayo has family issues, which is a legitimate reason, and Hasley wasn't going to start this year in all likelihood anymore. Our freshman LBs that came in have looked really good.

So you're equating a DWI to a bar fight? They just aren't the same, sorry. Really not even close.

No, I never tried to compare the two. If you do something illegal, then you should be punished for it. Yet Les to not suspend him at all, after a sexual offense with a minor, regardless of how it played out in the end, to then be on probation and cheap-shot someone in a bar and not have any punishment at all I find ridiculous. I don't know how you can defend Les on this.

Think of a parent and their child, the child gets in trouble for a sexual offense with a minor, then gets in trouble with the law. Yet this said parent doesn't do anything and just lets them go, would you be calling them a good parent? Think if it was your child. I know you can't exactly compare a football coach to a parent, but conceptually you can see the similarities.

Except it wasn't a bar fight. It was a football player coming from behind somebody and punching them in the side of the face (something that has killed people from time-to-time). And don't act like this is only getting publicized because it happened at LSU. If any other starting player on a BCS Conference team sucker punched a guy and then laughed and slapped hands about it, it would be covered just as hard.

And we wouldn't react the same way if it was our favorite team (luckily UCF has had all of three arrests in the last three seasons. Many schools have that in a month). I didn't want the Bears to draft Alec Ogletree (even though we needed an MLB) because I didn't want that kind of player on the team. I also cheer for the Jaguars and I am glad Justin Blackmon got suspended. And if he has another DUI, he should be cut.
