Great questions and I hope someone in the Seattle media has the ballz to press hard enough to get that answered.

Vikings look like geniuses..... just like when they stole Hutchinson from Seattle, and gave Seattle Nate Burleson and Tarvarris Jackson.

Nate Burleson was a good player in Seattle. Well worth the pick we had to give up for him.

Tarvaris was signed as a free agent, traded, then re-signed. Not sure how this makes the Vikings smart in any way, since they were the team that traded 2 3rd rounders to move into the 2nd round and draft a player projected to go in the 6th.

Lotta recent history between these 2 teams no?

Also between the Vikings and Packers as well, with them going after anyone they can from Green Bay.

He participated and looked great in their OTAs. Read somewhere (cant find link atm) that he suffered the injury a few days before the start of TC. I assume it must have happend during his own training program.

lolololol. Nnamdi is complete garbage at this point.

Say what you want to say about the Eagles, but Nnamdi is toast as a player regardless of system. He has NO speed whatsoever anymore, and the second a WR beats his press-man coverage, he gives up a TD.

And to boot, he's a terrible teammate who has never played on a winning team in his life. He has a loser's attitude - he blames everyone around him for things he does wrong and refuses to take responsibility for any mess-ups in coverage.

well, since you say so, and I have so much respect for you, OK.

theres some questions about whether or not he will be able to regain form, but your assessment is ridiculous. at 32, he has lost everything despite not having any injuries to speak of? and the bad teammate thing? he didnt fit in in philly but his reputation as a teammate and community leader in oakland was stellar.

Asomugha is looking great in camp so far according to beat reporters. Can't wait to see how he does on the field.

As a person, Nnamdi is a good guy with a good heart so it is no surprise why he didn't fit in with Philly.

Nmandi is washed up. It wasn't a scheme issue with him. He just kept getting beat. It's not the system's fault when you line up across from someone and he just blows right by you.

Don't read too much into training camp stories.

This^^^.

If his last name wasn't Asomugha, you would have thought he was one of the worst starting corners in the NFCE last season.

I could make a serious argument that D Hall was by far a better starting corner last year than Aso.

Move him to FS, but I can't see Nnamdi being an effective man corner in the NFL again.

Nmandi can't even play safety. He's an awful tackler, and he can't play off coverage at all. And he lacks hips which is why he likes playing exclusively on one side of the field.

Nmandi simply isn't very good, and even during his prime years was overrated bc Oakland was just that bad. Why throw to Nmandi when you can throw somewhere else? Plus why line up your #1 against Nmandi when he only plays one side of the field? Plus what quarterbacks did he even play? Plus how is everyone so sure he was so good when all their games were blacked out during his prime?

So long story short, Nmandi isn't a good player.

Being a philanthropist outside of the NFL doesn't make him a good teammate.

There are plenty of "nice guys" in the world who are losers in any kind of competitive setting.

Nnamdi is one of these guys who is sensitive, introspective, and kind - all qualities which completely alienate other Pro Football players. And because he is wealthy and cosmopolitan, he feels "above" the sport itself.

Eh.

In other news Clemons might be back week 1. Which would be huge.

Carolina in week 1 on the road scares the hell out of me. I can see a low scoring game with the home team eeking one out.

Obviously, as a 49ers fan, I would love to see the Panthers upset the Seahawks but realistically, I dont see that happening. Seahawks 30 Panthers 13.

Yup, I can confirm that. I'm a super nice guy and a serious jackass when it comes to competition. My grandmother won't even play chinese checkers with me anymore, because I'm a jerk if I either win or lose.

I don't know whether or not Nnamdi is one of those guys.

I had to learn how to not do that, especially playing pick up sports with the neighborhood kids, being a bigger kid who was always strong playing against me for fun really sucked when I couldn't switch into having fun mode instead of must win mode.

Still can't do it with most board games, especially if dice are involved. And unfortunately no one I've ever hung out with has been good enough at chess for me not to be a little bit of a dick about how I just take them apart carefully, patiently and completely.

My concern is replacing Alan Branch at the three-technique position.

And if Mebane, who's been a stalwart inside, falls off or gets injured, the DT rotation could really hurt their run defense.

Irvin and Carpenter are battling minor ailments apparently.

And Wilson looked a little a shaky in his first few preseason drives. Clearly the start of a sophomore slump. So we can all expect a lesser Russell Wilson this year - that's a certainty.

Who fills Harvin's shoes with him sidelined?

Nobody. Harvin will be a new wrinkle in the offense when/if he comes back later this year.

I never understood this as a discussion point.

Harvin is new. When our offense was humming in the second half we had Wilson, our running game, Zach Miller stepping up, and a good receiving trio for some timely big plays. We aren't filling his shoes like the Niners have to do for Crabtree.

With that said, a lot of the stuff they were implementing for Harvin, Golden Tate is running. Things like Jet Sweeps, triple option looks, bubbles, quick screens, and slot work.

Tate is in for a monster year.

Well, I guess I am changing my vote to San Francisco now that Jaworski said that Colin Kaepernick could go down as (one of ) the greatest QB in NFL history.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp1...rterbacks-ever

"I truly believe Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever," Jaworski said Wednesday on ESPN.
