Ok, so I had 2 drafts this weekend one a 12 team league (with an odd setup, but a big money league so should be interesting) and another 10 team league for just a $100. Neither are PPR and both have small bonuses(2-3 pts) for big plays (40+ yard play, etc)

(Big Money)

QB- Andrew Luck
QB- Mike Vick
RB- Trent Richardson
RB- Shady McCoy
WR- Randall Cobb
WR- Torrey Smith
TE- Vernon Davis
OP- Brandon Weeden
K- Matt Prater
DEF- Texans

BN- Deangelo Williams, Deandre Hopkins, Jermaine Gresham, Jonathan Dwyer, Justin Blackmon

(10 man)

QB- Luck
RB- Muscle Hamster
RB- Jamal Charles
WR- Roddy White
WR- Dwyane Bowe
TE- Jared Cook
W/R- Stephen Jackson
K- Matt Prater
DEF- Texans

BN-Matt Stafford, Daryl Richardson, Tavon Austin, Stevie Johnson, Jordan Cameron

With this team Im not sure if I should start Cameron at TE, Ive heard good things from him so far about this upcoming season.

Also I have a guy who wants Stephen Jackson and that right now is the strength of my team (the 3 RBs) so if possible would yall think its worth trying to trade Stephen Jackson and Jared Cook for Monte Ball and Jimmy Graham?

I feel pretty good about both, the 3 QB league has me a little nervous but was one of only 4 teams to actually nab 3 starting QBs which I think will be a major factor, so here is to Weeden having a much better year and hopefully Vick flourishes in the new offense.

What yall think?

Anyone still looking for a league? I have a draft this weekend on Yahoo and I'm a team short.

Cook and Cameron are both solid low TE1 guys, that could really surprise. I think Cook and S-Jax for Ball and Graham is a bad move.

There is no point in owning Vick Ballard. Even if you draft him as a handcuff to Bradshaw and Bradshaw goes down - Ballard proved last year that you can't even start him when he's the starter. So why bother? I'd rather take Kendall Hunter or Christine Michael - at least if they get a path to playing time they might do something.

Ballard and guys like Daniel thomas are just a waste. It's still football we're playing and some guys are just not that good. We forget this all to often when we look for opportunity guys rather than simply good players.

I handcuffed Miller with Thomas. So that was a waste?

Unless you are in a 14-team league where people start bad RBs on a weekly basis then yes he's a waste.

If Miller goes down, you still can't start Thomas. His talent level would make him starting dependent on Miami getting inside the 5. Plus, they'd give carries to someone else.

Thoughts on Vincent Brown this year?

I like him and have him in two leagues. His ranking on Yahoo is insanely high.

Unfortunately I just drafted a team and my TE situation is Brandon Myers/Owen Daniels. Not looking forward to that.

Third thought - I really don't like many WRs this year at all in the 3rd-4th range.

1.) Rivers is still throwing it...
2.) You should feel pretty good about your TE's if you ask me.
3.) WR is so deep your sometimes song D. Thomas and Julio and others with those picks because Lord knows you'll very rarely get a starting RB those rounds.

I'm undecided on Brown, I like his potential but still would grab other guys over him. The Chargers O has looked very poor in preseason, yes it's preseason, but still not a good sign.

I'd take him as a guy to be a bye week replacement, maybe a #3 in leagues that start 3, but probably not even that.

Is there any chance Marshawn Lynch gets suspended this year for any games? Doesn't he have a DUI thing?

I'm not really sure if hte NFL would suspend him prior to the hearing, the hearing is sometime in late december. So very unlikely he'd miss time IMO

So I'm thinking about dropping my backup defense for either a WR or RB.

my team....

QB: RG3, Sam Bradford
RB: Trent Richardson, Stevan Ridley, Reggie Bush, Ben Tate, Michael Bush
WR: Roddy White, Eric Decker, Chris Givens, Josh Gordon, Kenbrell Thompkins
TE: Tony Gonzalez
K: Legatron
Def: Houston, Arizona

Do I release Arizona and take a swing at Christine Michael, Lance Dunbar, Markus Wheaton, Bryce Brown....Harvin, Crabtree?

Or would you just hold still for now?

I had my draft today and I went against the thinking of everyone going crazy with RB's and seeing if it works. It is a standard setting with 10 teams. I got...

QB Newton
WR-Megatron
WR-Victor Cruz
WR-Vincent Brown
RB-MJD
RB-Lamar Miller
TE-Jimmy Graham
DEF-GB
K-Randy Bullock
Bench-Tom Brady
Bench-Mendenhall
Bench-Tavon Austin
Bench-Bryce Brown
Bench-LeVeon Bell even though he is injured
Bench-Coby Fleener

So with Dustin Keller out, it looks like Brandon Gibson is getting a lot of the inside looks that Keller was getting. Wouldn't be surprised to see him be a solid WR3 option this season.

What are your thoughts on Hartline? I play in some deep leagues and he was usable in a pinch at times last year, especially in a PPR league. Will not being the #1 option help or hurt him? Think he'll come close to last years 70 rec 1000 yards?

Bench-Coby Fleener
I like it, I'm someone who will pass on RBs early if the value lies elsewhere. You ended up with Cam and Tom though. I'm guessing you took Cam earlier? In hindsight, that might have been a better spot to grab a RB, depending on who was available.

I've never owned 2 D's before in any league I've done. It's a waste, IMO. I'd pick up Bryce Brown for now and see what happens in Philly.

See above.

So in my big money league I'm picking 4th. Can I justify taking Ray Rice over foster in a .5 PPR?
