I don't see much wrong with your list, however, there are a few things I'd just like to point out.

In a PPR I think you've got Morris too high, he will offer more in the passing game this year, but still likely not more than 20-25 receptions. Doug Martin is too low, he gets receptions, tds and yardage. He's my #1 pick in a PPR (would otherwise be Foster but his injuries still scare me a little).

I'm not as high on Lynch as most, I think he'll see close to his 2011 numbers than his 2012 numbers and he's not much of a receiving threat for a PPR.

At TE I think you're being a little optimistic putting Cook and Fleener of Vernon Davis and Gronkowski. No need to get cute with your rankings, VD and Gronk are too good to take unknown Cook and Fleener over them. If you want to wait and grab Cook or Fleener later, by all means do, but never take one over Gronk or VD.

Speaking of VD, I think we'll see more of his playoff numbers from last year than his regular season. Over 3 games in the playoffs he got 254yds and 1td. That'd be good for 14 pts a game in PPR

Is it ever acceptable to take Megatron in the top 5? I'm in a PPR and in a 20 buck league I did. Which team would you guys rather have in a PPR? It might change my draft strategy. For my big money league.

In early drafts I was taking him as a high as 5, this was when I was able to get Chris Johnson and Stevan Ridley later. You can still get one or the other in the 2nd, but probably not getting one in the 3rd. You could grab Gore in the 3rd I guess if you'd like.

In a league that you start 3 WR and 2RBs, I drafted Calvin at 5, came back and drafted Julio at 15, Chris Johnson at 25, and Vincent Jackson at 35. The only bad thing is I'm gonna start Ivory, Ball, Mathews or Bernard at RB2. But my WRs are by far the best set in the league.

But to answer your question. Yes, it is in my opinion ok to draft him there

I'm thinking of doing that. Megatron and another stud WR in round 2 and then RB/RB

I did mine before Yahoo jumped Ridley in their rankings. He was around 35 when I was able to steal him in the 3rd, now he's jumped all the way to 16th I think.

With that said I'm thrilled to have a team lead by Calvin, Julio and Vincent Jackson (in leagues where I start 3 WR) with Ridley as my RB and In my other league I was lucky enough to trade McFadden and Jennings for Chris Johnson. So I've got those WRs with Ridley and Johnson. Pretty beastly team.

In spots with a flex I tend to just go on value, I had an early pick in my league with a flex so I went AP, Ridley and Chris Johnson. My WRs suffered some with Nelson, Colston, Michael Floyd, Kenbrell Thompkins, Chris Givens and Kenny Britt. But my RBs should get me 45 pts each week.

I would disagree on the WR in PPR. Yes, Megatron is really good, but WR is really deep, and RB is still shallow. I think RB/RB is a winning strategy in full PPR with only 1 QB. There are a lot of really good WR's who can still help. If you have an early third round pick, you can get away with WR in the late 2nd. However, if you are a later pick, you have to stick with RB and take WR in the third or fourth. My 2 cents

You just gotta take the best players available, otherwise teams who get top RBs will be stacked everywhere else.

For this season, would you rather have:

Cam Newton + TY Hilton
or
Colin Kaepernick + AJ Green

I disagree. Calvin is gonna get you around 330 points in a PPR, the next best is probably around 280. That's to 2nd round WRs. A RB like Rice is probably 50 pts over a 3rd round RB.

I'm not saying take Calvin over obvious guys, but there's a point where Calvin is the best player on the board and I think that's somewhere in the top 7.

In PPR I wouldn't load up on WR/WR/WR unless the value just had to, but I'd do Calvin/RB/WR or even Calvin/WR/RB if thats where the value is.

I try to get the best team possible, regardless of whether I take WR or RBs

Agreed. Kaep + AJ is very very very clearly the winner here based on current situations. Obviously, this might prove to be a stupid opinion later on.

I try to get the best team possible, regardless of whether I take WR or RBs
I understand what you're saying, but I'm talking about position scarcity as a reason for overvaluing certain RB's ahead of Calvin. In PPR, QB's are less valuable, so you can wait on them. That means that RB/WR/Graham have to be on your radar in the first 3 rounds. To me, in PPR, Calvin is more of a #10 overall than a #7. He is really sickeningly good, but he is also part of a very solid crop of top tier WR options, including AJ Green, Dez, Julio, Roddy, Marshall, Welker, Demaryius, VJax, Andre Johnson, Cobb, and Fitzgerald (in some order).

After the first tier of WR's, there is also a very nice second tier, including Colston, Cruz, Wayne, Wallace, Nicks, Amendola, Smith, Decker, James Jones, Bowe, and Nelson.

When you talk RB in pure PPR, I think you can reasonably consider Martin ahead of Peterson at 1-2, then Rice, Charles, Spiller, and McCoy are there in that top tier (IMO). The second tier: Lynch, Foster, Sproles, Richardson, Alf Morris, Forte, SJax. Third tier: Bush, Ridley, MJD, Gore, maybe David Wilson.

In my opinion, I'm taking all of the top tier RB's, plus Lynch, Foster, Sproles, and Richardson before I take Megatron. That puts Megatron in the 10-12 range on my personal board. If I can get a Richardson and a SJax, then wait on WR and end up with Nicks and Decker or James Jones, I'm super happy. If you wait on RB, you are going to be reaching and praying on someone like Mendenhall as your RB2. I personally believe that stocking up on bell cow RB's early is the best play.

Lamar Miller for Vick. Should I? I'll get Vick.

Thoughts on my team? 10 teams, standard scoring, pick 8. Got Russell Wilson round 9

14 team, standard. Completely forgot about my draft tonight...

QB: Tony Romo, Carson Palmer
RB: Jamaal Charles, Reggie Bush, Ryan Mathews, Knowshon Moreno, Pierre Thomas
WR: Reggie Wayne, Jordy Nelson, Sidney Rice, Aaron Dobson, Greg Little
TE: Jordan Cameron, Coby Fleener
K: Dan Bailey
DEF: Dallas

Not overly happy with autodrafting Moreno, Thomas, and Dobson but I otherwise don't feel too terrible with it since I forgot to show up to draft...

Great looking team IMO.

Now it's between Dalton/Vick/Big Ben. Who should I go with?

is it PPR? that team is awesome in 14-team PPR even though you lack depth at WR/TE. also Moreno could easily end up being the Denver back to own because he's probably the best in pass-pro. whether he's a garbage runner or not he's worth holding onto in a 14-team league - as is Thomas. Dobson hasn't had quite the pre-season Thompkins has but he's also worth owning because you never know how things will play out in the regular season. I'd try to move Bush + Nelson or Charles + Nelson for a better WR and slightly worse RB. it shouldn't be hard if your league is PPR

Vick would appear to have the most favorable matchup and between Ben's lack of receivers and Dalton's playing the Bears I would have to suggest you go with Vick.
