Terrible news, Justin Jones is ineligible. This 6-8 277 pound tight end prospect from East Carolina had great potential and was positioned to have a monster year as a pass catcher. Still will get a shot in the NFL I am sure but this will not help his profile. He is such a freak show athlete, too bad he cannot play because of academics.

Week 1/2:
*Denzel Perryman JR LB Miami FLL: What a game he played, all over the field, wonderful in coverage. Was very difficult to block, active, really has improved his game over the off season. If he keeps it up, with his coverage ability could argue right now he is a top 10 linebacker in the up coming draft.

*Marcus Peters SOPH CB Washington: What a stud corner, big time tackler, long arms and is active in coverage. He should be an absolute star in the future, wonderful player.

*Cyril Richardson SR OG Baylor: Probably talking a potential 1st guard taken in the draft. Not a really deep group as of right now, he is a massive man, good athlete and can just bull people from the guard position. I must watch him play some more.

*Dominique Easley SR DE/DT Florida: What a beast, just bull rushed guys, gave great effort. Has long been a stud on Florida, and as a possible defensive end he could be a star in a 3/4 or a 4/3 and could play tackle. If he keeps playing like he did against Miami, Easley will be a easy 1st round pick.

*Shawn Oakman SOPH DE Baylor: Wow, guy is a freak show, must watch him play more but he is like 6-8 or 6-9, amazing length. Will be interesting to watch him develop because in terms of him physically he is rare.

*Taysom Hill SOPH RB/QB BYU: Kid ran possessed, made great cuts and showed big time speed in the open field. I really hope he is not in love with being a QB, because he could be one heck of a running back I think at the next level. Had a great game and will see if he can keep that up as the season goes along.

*Ed Hazelett SR OT Western Kentucky: Have not seen much of him but wow physically he is huge. Seems to be a good athlete as well, moved decent and has ok power. Promising looking offensive tackle that is for sure in the later rounds.

*Lache Seastrunk JR RB Baylor: Big time back, game breaking speed, now I see why he hyped himself up so much. Great speed and in that offense he is so dangerous. With a great season he could easily come out early and be the 1st RB taken in the draft.

*Shaq Thompson SOPH OLB Washington: Made the switch to linebacker and he had a great game against Boise St. Was very tough, not timid tackling. Stuck his body in there, made big plays and was active in coverage. If he puts on just a few more pounds he could be an elite linebacker prospect.

*Trenton Brown JR OT Florida: Giant kid, massive man and shows great athletic ability from the tackle position. Will be a kid to look out for the rest of the season.

*Terry Williams JR NT East Carolina: Really good looking NT, active and stays low to the ground. Really got off blocks and made tackles behind the line. Really promising player and he is part of a very impressive East Carolina 3/4 defensive line.

*Jamaal Williams SOPH RB BYU: Loved his running ability, quick, agile and ran with speed and power. Is part of that amazing sophomore RB class. With him and Hill in the backfield BYU is going to be a very dangerous team to defend.

*Thurston Armbrister SOPH RS OLB Miami FL: Had a fine game, big kid, long and lengthy linebacker. Made some really nice plays in the run game and played aggressive. Part of an extremely improved Miami linebacker core.

*D'Joun Smith JR CB FAU: Carl is really coaching him up, is making a lot of deflections on passes, getting his hands in the way and knocking the ball down. Very well schooled corner, does not have amazing athletic ability but love what I see out of his ball skills.

*Damian Parms JR S FAU: Another fine FAU DB, big time hitter at safety, nice looking athlete as well. Tackles aggressively and hard and appears to have the speed in coverage as well. Will watch him develop that is for sure.

*Quayvon Hicks SOPH FB Georgia: Really solid two weeks for him, tough kid, is active in the pass game and run game. Not often a full back is a weapon on offense but he sure is for Georgia.

*Jeremy Gallon SR WR Michigan: Had a monster game, was so active catching the ball and seemed to grab anything that game close to him. Made difficult catches look easy. Looked very smooth and fluid, impressive showing for him.

*Lee Pegues SR DE East Carolina: Really impressive 3/4 DE prospect, huge kid and was very active rushing the passer. Got his hands in the passing lane and showed good pass rush moves as well, nice looking player.

*Alex Neutz SR WR Buffalo: Very smooth athlete, catches the ball well and runs routes well. Does not have great speed but has good hands and because he runs sharp routes he can get the ball. Will see how he does the rest of the season, possibly late round or UDFA.

*Kyle Van Noy BYU SR OLB BYU: Everyone knows about him already, but he showed some toughness I do not think he had last year. Was bull rushing guys at times, just pushing them backward. Was outstanding pass rushing and he could easily play his way into being a top 10 pick if he has a great season.

*Cody Riggs JR S Florida: Part of a large group of draftable Florida defensive backs. Riggs shows outstanding speed in coverage, can really cover a lot of ground and make plays. Also is a stellar special teams player as well, fine looking player along with five other Florida defensive backs who will most likely be in the NFL.

*Aaron Murray SR QB Georgia: Really came off a so so game against Clemson to lead Georgia in a huge win against SC. Has very few talented receivers to pass the ball too but he still moved down the field and made plays making them look good. Showed good leadership and toughness as well, great bounce back game for him.

Other notable prospects:
*Arthur Lynch SR TE Georgia
*Bishop Sankey JR RB Washington
*Leon Allen SOPH RB Western Kentucky
*Solomon Patton SR WR Florida
*Antonio Andrews SR RB Western Kentucky
*Marcus Roberson JR CB Florida
*Rayshawn Jenkins SOPH S Miami FL
*Tyrone Cornileus SR OLB Miami FL
*Tyriq McCord SOPH OLB Miami FL
*Alex Figueroa FR OLB Miami FL
*Ronald Powell JR OLB Florida
*Jaydon Mickens SOPH WR Washington
*Steven Daniels SOPH OLB Boston College
*Steele Divitto SR ILB Boston College
*Hau'oli Kikaha JR DE Washington
*Danny Shelton JR NT Washington
*Vintavious Cooper SR RB East Carolina
*Justin Hardy JR WR East Carolina
*Keith Price SR QB Washington
*Vernon Hargreaves III Florida
*Brock Jensen SR QB North Dakota State

I thought Devin Gardner was extremely impressive last night, aside from that one awful decision.

He had a great game. Doesn't have that top speed but was behind the defense all game. 197 yards and he didn't even play in the second half.

Back-to-back big games against ranked teams should help him get noticed, could definitely be draftable.

Don't forget Christian Hackenburg who could be the best QB they've ever had there. Hopefully you can keep him 4 years.

Aaron Murray is going to be a great QB in the nfl. Not saying He's the next Russell Wilson, but teams will regret passing on him due to height.

Taysom Hill is too tall to be a RB. He's arguably the best athlete on that roster, yes as good as Van Noy. I see him being a WR or Safety at the next level. Think Julian Edelman.

The problem with Hill is that he's already 23. He might be a "Sophomore" but he was a 2009 recruit.

Yeah I hesitate to include him since he's just a true freshman, but man, he's going to be mentioned a lot on this forum in the future

Hack has the look of a future #1 pick.

I've only seen a bit of the Syracuse game, but Hackenberg's mechanics look fairly polished for a true freshman.

One thing I really like is the fact that he doesn't lock out his front knee, something common in young QBs. That just indicates to me he already has a strong core/base to throw from.

Check out this deep ball at 0:51: https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...zbblWyLdE#t=51

Looks to have really clean and easy delivery; with an elite level arm comparable to Stafford/Bradford/Roethlisberger.

Yeah Roberson was having a fine game before he went out. Purifoy had a bad game at times, missed on a few tackles that created big plays, kid is an absolute star if he tackles well because he is so smooth in coverage but he has to show that toughness in tackling like he has before.

Along with Riggs, Jaylen Watkins look pretty decent at corner, has been around for awhile, active in pass defense and decent size. Vernon Hargreaves III really flashed to me, only a freshman but he looks like a great one once he gets his chance to start next season.

Mettenberger and Murray both had great weeks. It will be interesting if Mettenberger continues to progress under Cam Cameron - if he does it should really help bolster his draft stock.

Mettenberger probably has the best combination of arm and size in this years draft. It seems like his decision making is also very good too.

It's not his height that will discourage teams from drafting him. He doesn't have a real strong arm, either, he's not super mobile and has lapses of awareness and decision-making. He had a good game last week, but he can't answer all the questions in one week and has plenty of other chances to make himself look good or bad. If he had played like he did last week throughout his career it'd be a different story, but for now, for me, I certainly do not see a "great" NFL quarterback when I watch him play. I see someone pretty similar to Colt McCoy.
