honestly, it wouldnt be a big deal. It would make me somewhat uncomfortable, but Im pretty sure id get over it. And I think that would be the case for most players. But I think its crazy that if players are honest about the fact that they are not comfortable w/ it, they get labeled as homophobes and villified. I jumped in here in defense of Chris Culliver, who said something that might not have been overly smart, but some people act like it was hate speech or something. in a locker room full of 50+ guys, there are bound to be some guys who a *** guy is attracted to, and its just easy to see how some guys could become uncomfortable. But at the end of the day, if you can play, you can play, and were gonna need to get past the uncomfortability of having **** in the locker room, it would be naive to think theyre not already out there.
But in the particular case of Rhodes, there could be a variety of factors at work. His desire to play might not be great, his age could be a factor, maybe hes not in peak condition, maybe he wants too much money, maybe his personality rubs some the wrong way, maybe coaches are worried about the potential media monsoon...its hard to say
