WR Chandler Jones of San Jose State impressed against Minnesota today. He possesses good hands, speed and can go up and get the ball.

I'll throw a kicker out theree

Sam Ficken, Jr, Penn State

Hit a 54 yard FG in a rainstorm yesterday and has hit 17 of his last 18 field goals with the only miss being from 57. This after being a goat last year missing 4 FGs in a loss early last year

Week 4:
*Leonard Floyd FR OLB Georgia: Extremely impressive 3/4 OLB prospect, such a long lengthy athlete, has very good quickness and overall athletic ability. Should become an absolute monster over the next few weeks for that young Georgia defense.

*Carl Bradford RS JR OLB/DE Arizona State: Stud rusher, shows great strength off the edge, can hold his own against the run and get after the quarterback. Great 3/4 OLB and if he keeps this play up he could be considered in the top four 3/4 OLB prospects in the up coming draft if he comes out early.

*David Fales SR QB San Jose State: Impressed with how he throws the ball, has a nice release, good arm strength and solid accuracy. Not a super star player but as a possible 2nd-4th round QB project he would be a wonderful pickup. Very solid young quarterback on a team without a great amount of talent.

*Justin Ellis SR NT La Tech: Monster of a man, wow he is big. Saw a little of him but that La Tech defense line is a must watch. Have a few very interesting players on that front and Ellis is a man down low, really good looking talent.

*Sojourn Shelton FR CB Wisconsin: Really like his ability, tough little corner, very smooth in coverage and competes hard. Is a player to watch develop that is for sure and is one of the more talented corners Wisconsin has had in quite some time, not many in the past are playmakers like he is.

*Aaron Davis JR ILB Colorado State: What a game he had, a very little linebacker but was all over the field making plays everywhere. Hit really hard, was aggressive and active. Really a standout game and is a player to watch over the next few years, he could be something if he keeps his level of play up.

*Dezmen Southward RS SR S Wisconsin: Really like him, in a not so deep safety class he is one of the top. Really covers a lot of ground, has good speed and is a decent tackler. Very nice looking player so far in the year.

*Davante Adams SOPH WR Fresno St: Hard to not like him, very smooth athlete, catches the ball easily and runs well with deceptive speed. Makes it look easy and should have a fine future ahead of him.

*Bryan Underwood JR WR NC State: Showed some flashes of some big time play making ability. Has blazing speed and if given some more chances he could make some huge plays, and one can never have enough speed.

*Martavis Bryant JR WR Clemson: Has shown some horrible hands catching the ball over the past few years. But he is such a big time athlete at that size and with that speed, got two TDs this week. Hopefully that will get him motivated and focused because if he ever does get the mental part of the game down he could be a major weapon.

*Calvin Tonga SR NT Colorado State: Had a extremely impressive game against Alabama, made that young offensive line look silly at times. Gave good push and allow the linebackers to make plays. Have to watch him more but could be a decent late round NT prospect.

Some other notable players:

Melvin Gordon SOPH RB Wisconsin
Derek Carr SR QB Fresno St
Yawin Smallwood JR ILB UCONN
Ego Ferguson JR DT LSU
Kwon Alexander SOPH LB LSU
Kenyan Drake SOPH RB Alabama
Isaiah Burse SR WR Fresno St
IK Enemkpali SR OLB La Tech

TE Eric Ebron from UNC needs some recognition. ASJ and Lyerla gets all of the attention and rightfully so, but Ebron is a damn good player in his own right.

Week 5:
*Brandon Facyson FR CB Virginia Tech: An extremely impressive young player, already shows very elite level ball skills intercepting passes and causing fumbles. Tall kid, smart, he should be an absolute superstar corner prospect if he continues to develop his game.

*Kyle Fuller SR CB Virginia Tech: One impressive performance he had against GT. Totally went all out, jumping over blockers just to disrupt the timing of their running game. Show great toughness and tackling potential. Rare to see a top ranked corner switch to linebacker like he did.

*Jemea Thomas SR CB Georgia Tech: Always liked this kid, heard he was going to play safety this year but nice to see him back at corner. Long arms, good tackler and is a tough kid, hits hard and is a solid athlete. Really like his game and he could be a steal anywhere from the 2nd to the 4th round.

*Derrick Hopkins SR DT Virginia Tech: Another standout VT defensive performance. So quick off the ball and easily go away and off of any cut block that came at him. Really impressive tackle numbers for a defensive lineman, he is slowly increasing his stock week in and week out. Could be a potential 3/4 DE or 4/3 DT.

*Jeremiah Attaochu SR OLB Georgia Tech: Pretty impressed with his pass rushing ability, got in the backfield easily and often. Big thick build, active and runs down the ball carrier where they are. Nice looking prospect and a fine 2nd tear 3/4 OLB.

*Brandon Watts SR OLB/ILB Georgia Tech: Liked him a lot last year, still playing solid. Good athlete, shows a little pass rush potential but I see him as a 3/4 ILB in the NFL and he could do good things at that position.

*Paul Davis FR OLB Georgia Tech: Nice looking young talent, was active on the field, if he puts on some more weight and keeps that speed he could be another fine linebacker for Georgia Tech.

This is a prospect I think Seattle will be high on. They tried to upgrade their nickel corner with a similar player (Antoine Winfield), but he was simply unable to perform better than our 5th/6th corners.

Seattle has consistently drafted a LB, DL, CB and OL in every single draft. I see Fuller as having Winfield type uniqueness, but without the elite cover skills. That should allow him to drop as the NFL is a pretty typecast league. Seattle has a need for a hybrid cornerbacker type player and Fuller looks like he could fit in that role nicely. I'd imagine he'd be targeted as a round 4/5 guy.

Especially considering that both Browner and Thurmond are UFA after this season. Extending Sherman will make it harder to keep both.

A 4th or 5th round pick? Are you joking, Fuller is easily top 5 corner prospect in the up coming draft and that is including underclassmen. Who are these 15+ corners that would be picked ahead of him in the earlier rounds?

And I do not think he will be a nickle corner in the NFL, he is better than that.

I assume it is only for a little while because of injuries at linebacker and the fact they are deep at corner. Most guys in his position would never do that because of the injury possibilities and how much he has to lose if he gets injured.

Would not be surprised to see more teams use that possibly to help gain penetration and alter the timing on run plays with read option offenses. Then again not all teams have a corner like Fuller willing and capable in doing that.

Right, I knew he wouldn't be looked at as a linebacker prospect, but the fact that a college cornerback can fill in at linebacker is impressive in itself and surely testifies to his physicality.

Fuller is the only one who made plays vs. Bama in week 1 as well. He was all over the field.

He jumps out of the screen at you when you watch Vtech play...which you can't say for the rest of Vtech team.

Akeel Lynch rFR RB Penn State not mentioned yet? He's been used in garbage time mostly, but the talent is there. 6', 215+ with quickness, burst, vision, quick feet, balance, strength. One of the better 2015 prospects no one is taking about.

And I do not think he will be a nickle corner in the NFL, he is better than that.
The problem with falling in love with a prospect, is that we almost always fall for the 'top 5' trap. Typically we see this most in the 'first round possibly' range of prospects. And then can't understand why literally half of the prospects we thought would go late first early second end up lingering to day 3 of the draft.

Fuller is a good prospect. Outside top five in his own graduating class. The headliner talent is mostly underclassmen. He's not even a given to be the best CB on his own team (Antone Exum) I'll list several that are better right now today:

Roby (OSU)
Verrett (TCU)
Ekpre-Olomu (UO)
Colvin (OU)
Roberson (UF)

We could likely throw in:

Diggs (UT)
Dennard (OSU)
Gilbert (MSU)

Fuller isn't likely to get a sniff in the top 40 picks. Whether he goes in the next 40 picks is going to be dependent on whether a run on the position occurs. Unless some GM is simply in love. Which typically they aren't. Unless you're Michael Lombardi.

He's a good player. But he's nowhere near top 5. What is going to hurt him, is that as a player in the roughly 80-120 range overall, is that he's going to be competing with guys of lesser production but better 'upside'. Fuller is not fast by CB standards. And he's not particularly quick. Athletically, he's pretty average for a college CB. And that may easily result in CBs of lesser quality getting picked ahead of him.

He's going to struggle to jam NFL outside receivers at the line. He's good at it, but physically NFL receivers are all bigger. And most teams don't run press man. For and outside CB, he'll be fairly limited.

What he does well, is close and tackle. He is also hard to get a block on. He takes on OL like a linebacker. He'd be great at this at the NFL level.
