chelsea's creative players really underperformed. if chelsea cruised to a 2-0 win, you couldn't have been pleased with HBA being benched and pardew choosing to go 442 and play counter attacking football at home.
newcastle really needed this especially after the chronicle ban. remy, anita, and debuchy were all terrific today.

Eh. I actually don't blame him for benching Hatem. I love him, but he has actively hurt the team the past 3 or 4 times he's played.
And if Chelsea won, sure. The point is that they didn't and that Pardew tactics were part of the reason that their flair guys couldn't get going. Was there some fortune in the win? Of course, but that is pretty much always the case when a mid table side plays giant killer.
