OU isn't much of a basketball school, and he's done more with less than Capel did. I never said we'd go to a Final Four, we're a football school first and foremost. He's improved the program from where we were pre-Kruger era so I can't really complain.
That's what Kruger is good at. UNLV was garbage before he became the head coach. He brought them back to respectability. He's been to the Sweet Sixteen at three different programs. OU will probably be the last program he builds up, however.
As of this morning, Iowa is the only team in the top 10 for both offensive and defensive scoring. Just give us the championship trophy already...
But seriously, I'm worried about playing Xavier. We outsize them pretty easily and can probably out muscle them, but their backcourt is a lot quicker and more athletic than ours. Depending on what type of game the refs want to call, it might be a long game for us Thursday. Plus, Christon is awesome.
While it is not nearly enough to make up for the obvious embarrassment of being stuck in an irrelevant city, Wisconsin is 7-0 and off to its best start in the Bo Ryan era.
While they will struggle against big teams that can expose their thin front court depth, the Badgers should be a tough match up this year.
They were really struggling with SLU in the 2nd half last night and I have no idea why. SLU was really sloppy and taking dumb shots, but still kept creeping back into the game. I think the fact that they don't have any dynamic/go to offensive players will hurt them. Dekker is the closest and while he's really good, I don't really feel like he can take over a game.
And stupid UNLV, couldn't even beat an Illini team starting 2 transfers and playing like 8 freshmen.
KU getting all they can handle from 'Nova. They've got a couple players who have been dealing with "flu-like symptoms" the last few days, so I didn't expect them to win this one tonight. Nova's too game to beat without being at your best.
