Default Teddy Bridgewater - Geno Smith

Texans fan here

First off, this thread has nothing to do with race.

Last year Geno was the consensus #1 overall pick, and an indubitable 1st round talent.

So how did he fall out of the 1st again, when there were several team needing a QB last year?

Teddy is in the same situation now.. in the sense that he is considered the prospect most likely going #1 overall. Is there any way he falls like Geno?

Another thing, I heard from many that Teddy pro comparison is Aaron Rodger (or prospect comparison?). One of the first result on a google search of Geno Smith pro comparison was Aaron Rodger as well.

So are these two comparable as prospects?

Geno was certainly not the consensus number one overall pick. A lot of people didn't even have him as the top quarterback. While I don't think many were expecting him to fall into the second, no one was particularly surprised when he wasn't picked among the top players.

As players, I don't see much comparison either. Bridgewater is very smart and polished, and appears extremely ready for the pro game from a technical standpoint. Geno was considered by many a system quarterback who's ability to adapt to the pro game was in serious question and would likely need a while to make the transition.

/thread. They're really not alike at all. I don't know who was comparing Geno Smith to Aaron Rodgers. Bridgewater and Geno Smith are very similar physically, but the way they play is night and day.

That clears it up
