Default NFL Forum Mock

Doesn't really mean anything, but I though i'd post it. I was the GM in the latest Forum Mock for the Skins and made quite a bit of moves, here is the summary of it, and if any skins personnel want to hire me I am available. Everyone said I had the best mock so I am proud.

Here were the Trades:
-Drafted LaRon Landry and traded him to #8 with the Falcons and picked up a 3rd rounder.
-With the 8th pick I took Patrick Willis and traded him with Shawn Springs to the Patriots for #24 pick, Pro Bowl Corner Asante Samuel, 5th and 6th rounder.
-Traded 24th pick in the draft for:
2nd rounder (#55)
3rd rounder (#85)
4th rounder (#120)
SS Michael Boulware
Pretty amazing trade there I must admit, pick up a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounder as well as a starting SS.
-Traded 5th rounder for WR Derrick Mason
-Traded Ladell Betts and 75th pick for Albert Haynesworth and 80th pick. This was a tremendous trade, Haynesworth is an animal and pro bowl material, gives us that run stopper. Betts was expendable
-Traded 102 pick for pick #120 and #143.
-Traded Sean Suisham for Pick #237 in the 7th round. Getting anything for him I think was a major steal.

As for the Draft this is how it went:
*2nd Round Pick #55 Victor Abiamiri:
DE, Victor Abiamiri, starting DE for us that we need gives us pass rush and run stopping, perfect pick. Victor is our solution at D end. Great size and speed and really has potential to be great, we are so happy to add him to our D line rotation,
*Pick #80 3rd Round Josh Beekman
ith Dockery leaving for a rediculous contract someone is needed to fill his shoes no one better than Josh Beekman, he will join one of the best lines in the NFL in Chris Samuels, Randy Thomas, Casey Rabach, and Jon Jansen. Finally we have found our starter and have added depth to the line.
*Pick #85 3rd Round Mason Crosby
Now that the needs of our team have been filled for the first time in forever the skins are able to make a luxury pick, so they take the best kicking prospect Mason Crosby. Crosby is an absolute weapon and will only help the Redskins offense if they are unable to put it into the end zone. After struggling year after year with bad kickers finally they get their kicker for the next 15 years in Mason Crosby, not to shabby.
*Pick #102 4th round Anthony Waters
We found the guy we wanted and moved up to take him. Waters proved he is back running an impressive 4.69 40 not 100% yet. Prior to the season he was my #2 LB behind Willis in front of Poz. He is an absolute monster as a run stopper and is huge at 6 3" 250. Has a great motor and is versatile. London Fletcher is not the permanent solution so Waters is the future starter, to begin with he can play either ILB or OLB in a backup role and could find his way in quicker than most believe.
*Pick #179 6th round Troy Smith
The Redskins just feel like this is an immense steal. In no way is this a pick to replace Jason Campbell as we expect big things from him, but we hope to develop Troy Smith into a top tier backup capable of taking the keys in case of an emergency. Mark Brunell and Todd Collins are older now, so Troy is our backup of the future. We weren't planning on taking QB, but in round 6 when Troy fell to us, we just couldn't pass up on him.
*Pick #180 6th round Chansi Stuckey
Stuckey is another guy who we feel is a major steal here, we acquired these late round picks and didn't expect to get so much value here. Stuckey gives Campbell another target to hit in a young man who is great in trick play situations and off of screens, running him and Randle El together behind Moss, Derrick Mason, and Lloyd will give us a great WR corps, along with James Thrash our special teams specialist.
*Pick #216 7th round Matt Trannon
In the 7th round this is entirely a project pick and we hope to develop him. At 6-6" and amazing physical tools we can turn him into a big redzone threat, or ask him to gain weight to either play TE, or become a beastly Redskins H-back. Risky pick but here in the 7th, it's worth the risk.
*Pick #237 7th round Jason Snelling
One of the top powerbacks in the draft Snelling will help share carries with Portis and Rock, as Snelling is tough inside and can bounce outside, he is a career 5+ ypc player. He will serve as our Brandon Jacobs for our Tiki Barber, Clinton Portis.

Following Players were undrafted who I picked up hoping to make the roster:

Derek Shouman-Chris Cooley clone, will take pressure of Cooley
David Holloway-Local boy, future special teams ace, and LB depth.
Deshawn Wynn-Back with all the ability in the world but hasn't produced, working with CP26.
Tony Franklin-Gives depth, can play nickel corner or safety.
Deyon Williams-Big Receiver/Local boy, lots of potential, practice squad guy destined for NFL Europe greatness.
Nik Shmitt-Punter VAtech. We all know him as the big boy will put pressure on Frost.
QB/WR/S Syvelle Newton-Practice squad guy likely we will try to convert him to safety, nice project player.
Anthony Pudewell-Best Blocking TE in the draft but not a receiving threat, will replace Furia's role

Incredible stuff. Generally I liked your moves except the Haynesworth/Betts trade. Haynesworth has too many character issues for me and without Betts I think our running game is thin. Also you seem to have forgotten Fred Smoot, or am I missing something?

Very imaginative, though.

Character Issues? I hardly consider stomping on a cowboys face an issue. lol.

Haha AMEN

I don't know about trading Betts though, that combo at RB for the Skins could be deadly against most/all defences.

It is hard to stop two 100+ yard backs each game that stay refreshed because they keep switching.

I like alot of the moves, except i agree with the others in not trading betts. remember our offensive cooridinator did amazing thinks in KC with two stud backs(holmes/johnson). I am eager to see what he can do with the skins with a year of portis and betts being healthy together.
