Re: concerns about Amobi Okoye entering the season as a 20-year-old, keep in mind Tommie Harris, who was selected by the Bears in 2004 as the 14th overall pick, also entered the league as a 20-year-old (granted a number of months older than Okoye). In Harris' case, although he started more games (37 of 38) at Oklahoma, Okoye has an additional year of experience at the collegiate level as a senior and thus has played in more games (48), since Harris declared for the draft as a junior.
Personally, I love Okoye and think whoever gets him is getting a heck of a player. I think he would improve Washington's interior line against both the run and the pass for years to come, if they in fact select him.
Edit: That is if Gregg Williams doesn't misuse him and be an idiot with him.

The more I think about it, the more Okoye sounds like the pick that the skins need.

Okoye or Anderson would be great for the Skins. Branch is a possibilty but only for a trade down.
Guys, if the rumours of the Panthers trading Jenkins to the Rams for a 2nd rounder are true, do you think the Panthers could trade for the #6 spot to get Landry (now that they have the ammo)?
That situation really benefits the Skins by getting them an additional trading partner and eliminating the Rams as a candidate to get Okoye/Branch.

I agree, Okoye or Anderson would be good, and of course Landry.

Obviously if it isn't written down it means nothing, but the Skins gave LaRon Landry verbal word that if he is there at #6 they will take him unless they trade out of the pick, so for you Landry fans, me being one of them, it looks promising.

Not a bad draft for the Skins considering the amount of picks and the placement of those picks you guys had.....
Landry scares me. i loved the kid ever since he considered coming out last year and I watched him a ton in 2006. For what I expect Williams to do with him, he has a legit shot at DROY in 2007. I remember saying in my first mock that had him going to the Skins that I literally fear for the safety of my Giants with both Landry and Taylor flying up and throwing themselves at ball carriers. If Taylor returns to form, this could be a top safety duo this year.
Liked Sartz, feel he could evolve into an NFL starter once he gets a little stronger and he'll have time behind Washington. Anytime you get a guy that I think can start from the 5th round makes it a very nice pick.
I don't like Blades...some people (Guru) loved him and called me a fool for saying he was bad during the season, but he really doesn't do anything exceptionally well. He will likely make your roster....so that's a plus with a 6th round pick but I don't see him ever being a starter in the NFL.
I like Palmer, I had him ranked higher than most did. If Campbell doesn't work out over the next few years, Palmer should be given a shot. He has an NFL arm and can fit some balls into tight spots. Just needs to learn the game a bit better and that is one thing Saunders does very well, teach.
Ecker...good blocker and thats about it. You think he will make the roster?

That's a good analysis, Ecker I hope he doesn't make the roster, he is a waste and a horrible pick, he wasn't even the best blocking TE available, probably will make the roster though as only TE other than Cooley on the roster is Todd Yoder. I love HB Blades the kid can flat out tackle, under the tutelage of London Fletcher the model for short MLB's Blades could develop into something really good. Thing I don't like about the draft is that we didn't address the O-line or D-line although it's hard to do with so few picks.
