I'm still trying to convince my fiance that a PS3 is a good investment. She said maybe in the new year. I'm very sad. But she said then we wouldn't be able to afford the Hustler channel, and while I know that isn't true, I like the porn channel too much to take the chance.

But seriously, if/when I do get one, there's so many games I can't wait to play. Call of Duty 4 looks awesome, and of course MGS4, RE5, FFXIII, the other FF games coiming out, Assassins Creed etc. I also read in EGM that the Gears of War crew is going to start developement on a PS3 Gears like exclusive. 2008 could be a good year for Sony.

Sorry, I don't have a link. It was in this months EGM(or last months, can't remember) I also realized after you bolded it that I made it sound like it was definate thing that was going to happen. I believe the words were actually something like "Sony is in talks with Gears of War developers Epic to make a Gears like PS3 exclusive" So definately not a definate by any means, more of a possible/maybe really.

I'm not sure how video game developmental "teams" work, but didn't Microsoft help in the making of Gears? On IGN, it's listed as a game by Microsoft. Which, would lead me to wonder why it'd be put on the PS3.

I'm not sure. You're right, it would be a little weird. I found the EGM, so here's exactly what it said(and it was this months, the one with Soul Calibur 4 on the front)

It doesn't help that Unreal Engine 3 (which runs GOW) doesn't work all that well on the PS3. Of course, that may change. Word is that Sony is sizing up Epic for a nice money hat to make the Unreal Engine 3 work better on the PS3. But more importantly, it plans to fund a Gears of War like exclusive game."

After rereading that and typing it in, I just realized it doesn't actually say that the same development team would even be working on it at all. Just that it would be a Gears of War like game, and only if they can get the Unreal Engine 3 to work better. So there's a lesson for you kids. Always question. Lol, not for a Playstation fan like myself. Has anyone else heard the rumor that EA is now trying to buy the MLB and NBA licenses to go with the NFL license? That one really is just a romor, and I can't even remember where I heard it. Possibly EGM again. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard that or not. But still, what a monopoly on sports games they'd have then.

I need new MVP Baseball games, dammit. MVP 05 is still by far the best baseball game, imo.

I know, that's why I wouldn't mind EA getting the MLB license. I would actually be happy if they used the exact same gameplay mechanics from MVP '05. Like you said, it is still by far the best baseball game ever IMO.

I love MVP 05 as well, but I hate when game companies buy the rights to a league. If they don't have competition, they can get away with not putting much effort into a game. Competition only makes the final product better for us consumers.

i like "the bigs" on 360... that game is pretty fun.. but not realistic at all

but if they do buy the rights they know that there wouldn't be any games based on that league so they can make alot of profit.

I would love for EA to get the MLB baseball license. They don't need an exclusive license, just the ability to make another MVP game.

2k owns the rights to produce all universal baseball games. Sony can make games for the play station because it is their system. Well, it is something like that...

Oh how I wish that EA and 2K can just hug and make up and let the mlb license and NFL license be used by all. Without competition, there is no point as they could just make the same old game year after year and there would be no other option.

Anyone know when the license is up? I think I read something like 2009, and that is too damn long...

Also, MVP NCAA 2007 was a great game aside from the fact that it is college instead of the pros.

some images someone on the ign forums took, its the ps3 version. Not bad. Next years will be developed first on the ps3 then 360 so I cant wait for 2009 NCAA. He also saying that the gameplay is running smooth. Thank you lord.!

Quite a big wishlist. I like to keep it simple with few select games, but hey, I don't blame ya.
