From my expierence, most teachers don't actually check your work, so I just fill up space with random numbers, then write the answer.

Calc 2 and 4 were not my specialites. (I actually failed calc 2 twice before getting an A in it the third time)
But Calc 3 wasn't bad....

X + (2X + 6) = 30
=> 3X + 6 = 30
=> 3X = 24
=> X = 8
So the 2 number are 8 and 22

18 + 5x = 7x
=> 18 = 2x
=> 9 = X

You need to solve
X + (X + 2) + (X + 4) + (X + 6) = 44
and then you should get X = 8 etc...

FInd four consecutive even integers so that the sum of the first three is 2 more than twice the fourth....
and...
Find three consecutive even integers so that the first plus twice the second is twice the third.

8, 10, 12, 14
8+10+12=30
14 * 2= 28
30-28=2

Has anyone read "Bloodfall"?
I know it's one big allegory, but I have a lot of stuff that seems loosely tied together and I'm looking for a solid controlling idea if anyone has it. My mind's in another place right now.

How do you separate a mixture of sand, iron, and salt by using physical processes?

A soccer player kicks a rock horizontally off a 40.0 m high cliff into a pool of water. If the player hears the sound of the splash 3.04 s later, what was the initial speed given to the rock? Assume the speed of sound in air to be 343 m/s.
If anyone knows how to do that PM me, I can't figure it out. >_<
