Possible Future Draft Picks
Major Wright 6'1 204lbs freshaman..
I'm watching the Florida-Auburn game, and this kid is just dynamite.. hes been a playmaker in this game, and has really layed the lumber... andybody who knows more about this kid or has watched other florida games let me know ..
anyway we're not very good at safety, i like mccree, i like weddle now, but in 2 years marlon will be in need of replacing... im liking this kid as the one to do it..

My wish list looks something like this -
1) DeSean Jackson (Davis doesn't look like he was worth a first round pick, which was my gut feeling when he was drafted anyway. Jackson is an elite weapon)
2) Antoine Cason (Wow, we've really come full circle here. Florence is probably gone, Cromartie isn't ready, Oliver isn't close, lets bring in a senior 4 year starter who can actually play right away. The upside potential strategy isn't working)

I don't wanna start thinking about prospects yet, but as for Davis, he hasn't looked that bad...no one on the offense has looked good yet, except LT last game...but Davis hasn't exactly "disapointed". He's a rookie receiver, that's one of the steepest learning curves in football, and he's being used in the offense still.
Edit: No, he hasn't looked amazing, but not so bad I'd give up on him so early...

i dont wanna second guess AJ Smiths judgement but most knew at best davis was a mid 2nd round pick not by any means a 1st rounder when you have anthony gonzalez, dwayne jarrett, sidney rice, steve smith and a few others better then him still on the board

What positions should we target in the draft if the season ended today? I'd say OL,ILB,CB,S

Because all of those guys have really outpreformed him so much....in addition to speculation Indy would take him at 32.

See I think our secondary needs to be addressed big time but i dont know if the draft is the way to do it...those guys are stil going to need to develop...I think we need another ILB to go opposite Cooper who I like...definitely need to address the OL.

as the weeks go by and wilheim's missed games buid up im starting to get the sense he doesnt fit the bill.. maybe we do need an ilb..
either way i think we should draft S, start jammer and cromartie, let go d-flo, bring in the S to fill in for weddle and eventually replace mccree and bring in weddle as the 3rd cb and primarty FS..

The lack of talent in the draft at the safety position this year is one of the worst classes I can remember. We would probably be better off looking for one in free agency. The guys that are available would probably be going in the 3rd round of any other draft.
