What an absolute steal he was. He had a first day value and the Chargers found him in round 7. The best part is that he's still so young (21). Cooper had to pay his dues for 5 years before he could step into a starting role. Siler could be a very very good linebacker in 5 years.
The reason he dropped was because he had character questions and came out as junior which was completely ill advised. He had 2nd round talent. He provides excellent depth and allows the Chargers leeway in terrms of resigning Stephen Cooper and Matt Wilhelm. The team has the leverage because Brandon Siler can be the man.
I was a huge fan of Siler. That said, another reason he dropped, if I remember the numbers correctly, was poor quickness times. Sometimes, though, people don't test as well, and I always thought he played quicker than he timed.
