UW Quarterback Situation
The University of Washington's next Qb has some big shoes to fill. But who will fill those shoes?
Canidates
Carl Bonnell- Collegiate Senior from Kentwood High School, WA.
What he has done: ]
Quote:
2006:
Played in all 12 games and started the last five (Cal, Arizona State, Oregon, Stanford and Washington State) at quarterback ... also served as the team's holder for PATs and field goals, performing that duty in all 12 games ... aside from the five starts, also saw action at quarterback vs. Oklahoma, Arizona and Oregon State, meaning that he took snaps from center in nine of 12 games ... had a solid game in first start in the Huskies' overtime loss at California, completing 17 of 31 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns, including a 49-yard TD pass to Marlon Wood on the final play of regulation ... also rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown vs. the Golden Bears ... completed 15 out of 34 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns vs. Oregon ... led the Huskies to a win over Washington State in the Apple Cup, completing 14 of 27 passes for 271 yards and two TDs ... rushed for 44 yards on six carries vs. Arizona State ... came off the bench late in Oklahoma game and led Huskies on a scoring drive, completing 5 of 7 passes for 41 yards and a score.

from http://gohuskies.cstv.com/sports/m-f...ll_carl00.html
stat wise: Last season put up 72/164 for 7 tds 11 ints
Jake Locker- Red-Shirt Freshman From Ferndale High School
What he has done: Traveled with team. High School Standout.
from http://gohuskies.cstv.com/sports/m-f...er_jake01.html
From the stats you may think Bonnell is the eazy choice, but Locker is their QB of the future.
Who do you think will start next year for the Huskies?

Ronnie Fouch.. He's a stud QB from Southern California. He committed U Dub a while ago. I think he could see some playing time. All-State. Really productive career in high school.

A few things:
1. Locker is a redshirt freshman, not a sophomore.
2. He's already been named the starter.
3. What big shoes to fill? It's not like he's replacing Cody Pickett.

According to UW's site he is a sophmore technically, even though he never got in
2. He's already been named the starter.
Like that hasn't ever fallen through

Isaiah Stanbeck's shoes. Isaiah was drafted in the 4th round which means that he did something right

It doesn't really mean he did something right.. He probably won't even play QB in the pros. He's a hell of an athlete though and yes their are some big shoes to fill at the QB position for U Dub.. Isaiah was their bread and butter. Don't sleep on my boy Ronnie Fouch though..
Go Dawgs!
