it would be naive of me or anyone to say that the Pats don't at the very least, have a very very very good chance of winning.
having that said, ask any Giants fan or player or coach, thats exactly what we want. we don't want anyone rooting for us or thinking we'll win.

I remember feeling like that. I still do.
I don't think the writer meant it like that, more like using that situation as an example of why he might come back.

No, the writer isnt wrong. Patriots fans have been talking about this for quite some time now. I wont be surprised if he leaves. I think it is very possible. Unless he chooses to take a major cut much like Moss did.

Yeah because 46 catches for 697 yards and 3 TD's deserves a HUGE contract.

Stallworth is likely gone after this year. There is an option after this season that if the Patriots accept calls for $25 million over the next (I believe) four years, so that's money that is probably better spent re-signing Moss, Samuel, Vrabel. Especially because Stallworth has been out of the starting lineup for Jabar Gaffney, a much cheaper option, for much of the season and we did draft No Action Jackson a couple years ago in the second round.

Yeah, unless he chooses to come back for about 3 mil, he's gone. I like him, but he's an interchangable part.

Gaffney could fill his role and they wouldn't miss a beat.

I wouldn't mind him or Bernard Berrian in a cowboys' uniform next year.
And yes, The pats have already won the superbowl. It just takes two week for them to get thier trophy.

That wouldn't be a bad idea for the Eagles to resign Stallworth. Him and Kevin Curtis would be a dangerous duo on the outside. If L.J. Smith and Westbrook can stay healthy, the Eagles would have a serious offense.
