probably has to do with the shots he was making not necessarily the amount of points he got but how he got them.

If Lebron was on the Lakers who would play SG? lol.

But seriously, what do you think about the same amount that goes to players (like Lebron) who get a ton of excuses because of the lack of talent around him. Like nobody was saying Lebron had crappy talent around him until the Magic beat them. In fact, everyone was saying how underrated the Cavs players were! Funny how logic changes like that.

And Lebron had those kind of games BECAUSE of the lack of talent around him. He was forced to be a scorer... so there are 2 sides to your argument.

Well his supporting cast played pretty well all year, but either way they still gave him no help during the Magic series.

Also, luke walton was killing courtney lee in the first half posting him up. We should maybe go back to that.

Lebron is teaming with another all star in Mo Williams. Let's not disregard Kobe's performance just because Lebron was the only Cav that came to party.

I'm not taking anything away from Kobe, he was spectacular.

And Mo Williams was absolute garbage in the playoffs. Lebron was counted on to carry the whole team and could only take them so far.

I mean TOGETHER they came out the regular season with the best record in the league. But if you don't show up in the playoffs, it doesn't mean anything.

But in all seriousness. Kobe is the better player just because he's smarter. He takes smarter shots and knows how to create for himself. Lebron is great at using his body to get what he wants. But cmon you seriously cannot doubt Kobe against a team who's suppose to be renowned for their defense.

Even Moth said Pietrus and Lee are going to give Kobe fits so much that i started believing it too.
I said at times...He's Kobe Bryant just like Lebron is Lebron...the goal is to slow him because, you wont stop him. They should be able to slow him down every now and then...I cant take much away from this game because, Orlando looked so off. It wont be easy but those two can guard him just as well as anybody could. That doesnt mean they will constantly stop him. He's too good. Pietrus was all over him and Kobe was hitting shots like he wasnt even there. He's just that good but, it will effect him at times too. He wasnt having it today, though.

That was dumb on Stan's behalf, he's too big for Courtney to guard in the post. If Walton/Bryant and Lee/Pietrus are all on the floor...Lee should be on Kobe out near the perimeter instead of getting worn on inside.

I really dont like the subs by Orlando tonight because, we were playing to match up with them "better" instead of the other way around. Instead of attacking Gasol, we decide to put Battie in early? I dont like that. As good as a matchup Gasol had on Lewis...it's the same on the other end with Lewis on Gasol. Orlando seemed afraid to play their game and that should actually be a key part in beating the Lakers. They're just playing into the Lakers' hand. Hopefully SVG irons it out for next game. I wouldn't expect another showing like that for the rest of the playoffs. I couldnt remember the last time Orlando has missed so many wide open looks and just looked completely lost.

We should also see more pick and roll...The Lakers cant defend the pick and roll well and have a poor perimeter defense. We have to attack.

now that that everything has settled down and we've come back to reality. I'm pretty sure we can all attest that this series is far from over.

Just a few years ago dallas was blowing out the Heat at home. We all saw how that turned out.

Gasol was rarely on Lewis on the defensive end. Gasol guarded Howard. Odom had Lewis on lockdown. When Gasol and Bynum were in I noticed that we countered with Howard on Bynum and Gasol on Gortat... let's just say that Gortat didn't fare any better trying to guard Gasol than Lewis did. Gasol's outside shot was falling... his hook shot was on point as usual.

Howard seemed so timid against Gasol and even against Odom. So many times I just wanted him to make a move to the rim, even seemed like the guys wanted him to do it too, but he kept passing it out. He's gotta keep going strong. He drew fouls when he did that. Yes, his shot looked too strong and ugly near the rim tonight. Too me that just makes it seem like he was forcing it too much and he wasn't playing relaxed. As far as his defense goes, I'm not sure he played any tonight.

Ariza outhustled our guys to loose balls, and both he and Odom scored on Hedo at will.

Lee was outclassed by Kobe and Walton and they made him look like a rookie trying to play D. I like that Lee never got intimidated and that he took his normal attempts on the offensive side. He always makes the best of his attempts and no one can call his shot selection poor. These playoffs are going to pay off for him big time next year. But still, he's got to be taught how to play better D and box out on the rebounds.

As expected, Jameer's shot was totally off and he made some questionable shot selections. I really didn't expect him to play as much as he did, but hopefully that pays off down the road in this series.

The offense should come... I'm more worried about how we match up on Defense. Just seemed like we could not stop the bleeding. The Lakers found ways to find the weak match ups and fully exploited them.

Only guy I really admire from the Magic's side tonight was Pietrus. He was the only one who seemed to play with the right mentality on both sides of the floor. He played tough D, and attacked the rim, drew fouls in doing so and hit a good percentage of his 3s.

Gasol was on Lewis quite a bit but, he then went to Howard when Bynum got in foul trouble. Whenever Gasol is on Lewis, it is something they must exploit. It's not an exclusive matchup but, we'll see it often.

Agreed with Howard, they did a good job on him for the most part, though. But really he needs more touches and he needs to play much more aggressive against Pau.

Lee was actually playing decent on Kobe but, the announcers hit the nail on the head when they said he wasnt his normal aggressive self...in the man to man. His base wasnt even squared. He should get better as it goes on and I'm glad he was looking to shoot. Excellent looks but like everyone else, they werent falling.

I wouldnt say Odom has Lewis on lock...he beat him off the dribble several times but couldn't finish. And we weren't setting our normal screens for Lewis yesterday. The whole pick and roll game wasnt really a main focus like it should be against a defense that has had a history of struggling against the pick and roll.

As for outhustling...you didnt really see that until the Magic were beginning to get blown out. The shots weren't falling so the defense followed in line and they played lackluster on that end. They didnt play Magic defense at all yesterday.

Only a few adjustments need to be made really...again, I'm not worried. And the shots were actually there yesterday for the perimeter guys, as they should be but, they picked a pretty big night to have their worst shooting night in a very, very long time. And yeah, Rafer is a bit of a rhythm player at times, SVG is going to need to go back to him more often. Give Jameer, AJ's minutes plus but, dont play him so much as to disrupt the chemistry and flow we have when Rafer is on the court.

I don't get how everyone says its so black and white that Kobe steps up in the playoffs and is therefore better but references back to the regular season to support how LeBron's supporting cast is great. People were saying that his supporting cast was solid in the regular season because they played well, but in the playoffs they played absolutely awful so I do not see a point in referencing back to the regular season if you do not for the kobe vs. Lebron debate.

Also....Lebron was not only a scorer in that series... his team was not knocking down their open shots. He was the Cavs number one scorer, rebounder and playmaker.

I think the Lakers did an excellent job defensively on Howard. At least one guard would come down so DH wouldn't have the option of dribbling into a shot. Then when DH would kick it out, someone would always be there to contest the shot. I also like how the Lakers defended the pick and rolls. Kobe moving out onto Rashard is freakin' genius! I thought Fisher did a good job on what people on here was saying would be a mismatch.

On the other end, Jameer looked pretty good tonight for missing half the season. He still can run the offense but he was passing up open shots.. he may not be ready to start killin' us yet lol

I think the Cavs need a more reliable running mate for Lebron.
