Game was lost before the half on the kickoff return and the terrible clock management. Whipple was furious with Randy for calling his last timeout, they could have gotten a touchdown before the half easily.
Also not a fan of the playcalling after the 19 yd run. Get Jacory out of the pocket on 3rd down or give him more options. Poor.
Props to Pipho btw for all the **** he took Bowers beat him maybe once.

Yeah Pipho locked it down all game. He's really unathletic but still manages to compete hard every other game.
Franklin is not an upgrade unfortunately. Jones might be though.

I love Whipple but the play calling at the end of the game was horrible. We were up by 3 late in the 4th and on 3rd down we run and dont get the first. Then in overtime he calls 3 straight runs inside the 10. Come on, put the ball in Jacory's hands and let him win the game.
On the bright side, Hankerson, Bailey and Pipho all played great today. That 1 handed catch by Hankerson in the 1st quarter was sexy.

Man, even tho it was sloppy from what I've seen/read. I would've loved to have watched a overtime game. I hate work.

You mean their "U"...:). And what about the scoreboard lol? Tech beat Miami and then lost to GT. You guys beat GT and lost to Tech. The world balances out.

I seriously think 1 of them will beat GT. Duke is one of the most improved teams and has proven this year that they can play with good teams. Same goes with Wake. If Wake would get any luck, they could have 2 or 3 more wins.

I'll take a win any way I can get it with the way this team plays sometimes.

...and that catch right there shows why Aldarius Johnson is such a valuable player. That catch is what it means to have superior body control with great hands. Benjamin, Hankerson and Byrd all failed trying to make that same exact catch, AJ makes it. Love the guy.

AJ is so slow but it is nice to have a guy who you can bank on to catch anything thrown his way. He's very reliable.

So with VT out of the picture at the moment, what does it mean for our hopes in the ACCCG?

Well if GT can lose another conference game and we can beat Duke and go undefeated the rest of the way we can go to the ACC championship. Gotta love the ACC we just beat up on eachother.

If we decided to puss out on ooc games we'd be the same as the SEC!

I'd rather us go the Boise State route. Schedule one decently tough OOC game and then get cakewalks the rest of the way. It's basically like a coinflip to go undefeated or not.
And yet they always manage to enter the BCS/NC discussion.

Yeah but if we did that there wouldn't have been all this media hoopla of the U being back after going 3-1, when we were expected to go 0-4. The U has more pride then to just schedule cupcake games.

I wasn't being serious. It's not a reasonable option for us to bump down to a mid-major conference.
