This is a good article on Penny. It says that his arm is feeling stronger, and that he feels a lot more comfortable in the system. I know, I know, anyobody would say the same thing. However, if his arm truly is stronger, and he can cut down on the interceptions (about in half), I believe we can make the playoffs again. If our offense can actually start doing some things down the field, that will open up a lot of things for our running game as well as our short passing game, and lead to more YAC yards.

I have this in its own thread, because Penny is by far the most important piece of our offense, even if he may not be the best. If he can take a step forward this year, and if his arm actually *is* stronger, then we may not be the 7-9 / 8-8 I am currently envisioning.

Very interesting article, great post. I agree that if he is in fact improved we definitely have playoff potential. The question then becomes can he stay healthy for enough of the season for this to make an impact. I say yes, and think that if he isn't just blowing smoke this is great news.
