I bought The Show the day it came out and I've only played RTTS, hadn't even tried anything else.
I played the franchise a little bit, but I felt like I was forcing my self to play a francshise so I just stoped and went with just RTTS. I don't like baseball game francshise since you have to sim so many games. The hitting took me a long time to get use to though I was just getting decent at it and could have always switched back to classic. I like playing as a P as I dont have to sim anything.
Yeah, I only play RTTS because it takes so much less time to get through games. I switched my C to LF to make them go even quicker. I need to be more patient when hitting, though.

Have you tried one as a closer? Thats what im doing and im hooked
I didnt get the Show this year. But last year I was frustrated with RTTS because my dude never walked. I'd get to 3-0, and then it was nothing but strikes. :/
that's so it. i was 15 bloody hours in before any of the fights even counted for experience. 13 of that was terrible cut scenes (i mean, they were pretty, but the writing quality was horrific), 2 of that was godawful battles that took forever and, ultimately meant nothing. then heavy rain killed my ps3, so i lost the save. there's zero chance i will ever go through all of that again.
though i like, heard it totally gets better after 45 hours.
On the plus side, if you're into 14 year old girls with too much disposable income, you've got a total in.
Source may not be the most reliable, but it's adding to more smoke out there.
Again, can't imagine Sony bringing a new console to market for at least two or three years given that the PS3 has only just started to hit it's stride.
Direct X 11(or the OpenGL equivalent for the PS3) will be a big point, for sure.
60 FPS(or any gain in frames)at true 1080p(consoles use up scaling currently)
Physics, with larger scale interactive environments
Those sort of things, in addition to just generally looking better and the standard gains in lighting. Here's what Epic had to say about the future a few months back.
Haha. EE posted UE3... They're working on UE4 for next year. But, yeah, the current engines and hardware still have a ton of untapped potential. Especially the PS3.
Wow. Reports are coming in from hardware manufacturers that the PS4 will go into production this year for a 2012 launch...with Kinect style motion controls :/

It's nice to have for the system to get casual user sales. Kinda like the BluRay player helped the PS3 early on (as high a price tag as the system carried, it was still the cheapest and best BR player).
For regular gamers like ourselves, we have nothing to worry about because Sony has always been consistent with the way they lean towards the hardcore crowd.

Yeah I like that it means more money for the video game industry and couldn't care less if it exists as long as it doesn't deter from the hardcore industry.
PS3 is really coming into its own right now and it's a shame this didn't happen earlier in its life cycle.
figures. it seems like every time developers finally figure out how to take advantage of a box, they have to build a new box no one will be able to program for properly for 4-5 years. i feel like this happened with the last xbox, in just the same way.
