I just can't see myself carrying around a dedicated gaming handheld(or needing one) in a post iPhone/Android world. Nice piece of hardware by the look of it, but I feel like the situations where it would be socially appropriate for me to use something like that are just decreasing as I go up in age. Would be nice for a long flight or something like that, but for the most part, I'm done with portable gaming.

I never picked up MLB 11 the Show this year. Still rolling with 10. I always want to play RttS, but the fact that I cant draw walks is a killer for me. It's really annoying. Add to that, I hate base running, it's awkward as hell. Maybe I just dont have it down.

i really enjoy the game this year. its still really hard to draw walks though. i usually am a pitcher only in the RttS, and its really fun. I was on the Cubs but got traded to the Mariners... and we are nasty because me and felix are an insane 1-2 punch. you can also turn off base running if you wanted to.

Yeah...I really wanted a position player, though. I may switch to pitching. Thanks for the tip on the base running.

Too many homers piss me off, too. So my dude was just going to be all contact all the time. haha. Weak as hell.

I'm still rolling with MLB 09 bc I'm still playing the RTTS I have with a pitcher.
My guy is on the Red Sox (best pitcher in the game) and the Rotation is (my guy), Felix Hernandez, J.Lester, J.Danks and a good Dice K.
Domination. I love it.

Dropping back 40 yards with Ryan Pickett and picking off a guys pass online in Madden 11. Pretty real stuff right there. Needless to say the guy quit after that. He was 36-18 and was about to be down 28-6 in the 2nd if he wouldnt have quit.. Only got 6 because he broke like 100 tackles with D Jackson on the kickoff.

I was playing RttS with a pitcher. My dude just broke his arm on the mound, just from throwing the ball, in is first career minor league start. I'm moving on to something else. I honsestly dont find the game mode to be that much fun anyway.

I just tried starting a RTTS with a CP.
How do the **** doe you get enough points to ever be good?!
With SP, it was easy... you got enough points for your goals and to increase other stats.
With a closer, I barely make my goals... and I'm doing pretty well (stat wise) with the closer so I don't know what the deal is.
I tried ignoring the goals and just trying to get better... got demoted to AA. This sucks.

It's only a $50 price cut here, but that takes it down to $250. Thinking about picking one up as well. Currently have access to one, but not whenever I want.

The only thing that's throwing me off at this point is the controller. I can't stand the analog layout. It just doesn't work with my hands, for whatever reason. Anyone know any good alternative controllers? Preferably with bluetooth.

Why is Resistance 3 only gonna have a 16 player max for Multiplayer? That sucks, I figured it'd have at least 30 max. Boooooooooooooooo

My PS3 has stopped reading discs. Anybody have this problem before and fixed it on their own?

Put in a DVD (not a Blu Ray) and if it reads that, it's the Blu Ray laser.

Everything on the PS3 is fine, but when I put a disc in, it doesn't show the icon in the XMB or whatever. I tried a PS3 Game, PS2 Game, Blu Ray, and a DVD.

My guess is that has something to do with the drive or the laser. Did you call up Sony yet?
