It's okay to want to make love to the PS3...it is sexy.

It would be the first thing I had sex with and I wasn't worried about it talking too much.

So I've had a question since looking at the pictures of the Slim, is there a power switch in the back, or do you turn it on with the button on the front? Because in the pics, it looks like there is no switch.
Also, I'm jealous and might have to have come be your Slims man on the side.

The current PS3 has no switch in the front, it's a touch-sensor. I imagine the Slim is the same way with a master power switch in the back.

Yeah, it takes five minutes to get to 50% and then 20 seconds to do the next 50%.

That's what I meant. In the pics, it looks like the Slim doesn't have a switch in the back. So I wanted to know if it was just the sensor button in the front to power on and off or if there was a switch.

Really? Maybe like 3 for like the first 50. I had a weird thing occur with the latest update. It uploaded up to like 60 and then it restarted. Downloaded some more, restarted and the new software was updated

A lot of updates require a reboot to install properly. Same with any computer.

IGN gave Uncharted 2 a 9.5
9.5 Presentation
10 Graphics
9.5 Sound
9.5 Gameplay
9.5 Lasting Appeal
I plan on giving Uncharted one more go soon, before the 2nd comes out in October.

IGN sucks but I still think the game is going to be amazing.
I already reserved it a couple weeks ago so I can't wait to pick it up. We should try to get a couple people together and play some online coop. Would be pretty fun.

I think my PS3 just crapped out on me. It starts up all fine and everything, can play demos and videos I have downloaded on the hard drive, but my game discs don't load and I tried a Blu-Ray disc and it didn't either. I'll try again tomorrow, restore system defaults and see if there is a solution, but it looks like I'm going to have to get it repaired, which sucks cause I'm broke.

Same thing happen to me. Try restoring your systems default, as that can occasionally solve the problem but it ended up costing me 150 dollars for them to replace to Blu Ray drive.
Needless to say I wasn't happy.

Oh God I hope, cause I really don't have the cash. Starting a new job, need money for an anniversary present, want to buy these pair of A.P.C. jeans, and I got a summons last night for walking between train cars (damn cops, I'm going to fight this).

I hear ya. I was planning to reserve a couple of games in addition to..well..having money to buy food, but with Uncharted coming out soon in addition to a few others games I wanted to get it repaired. Plus I love baseball and MLB 09 The Show is amazing so I play that pretty much all year long.

Nope, I really don't know what happened. I reset my preferences and nothing happened at all. I'm definitely going to have to get this fixed, but I can put it on the back burner cause I don't have a lot of cash and I'm not playing it a whole lot with school and work now. Is the Blu Ray drive cleaner effective? It loads the disc, but it doesn't seem to spin inside the machine, or not be able to read it. I'm not sure, but I don't feel like sending it to sony and pay $150 for it. Anything less helps
