exactly. I'm all college basketball but once May rolls around and NBA games mean something, i shift into NBA mode. Alas, only a couple months to suffer until training camp. At least in 2010 the World Cup will be around.

one would think had Andy Roddick made it there it would have been live

i watched a live stream of it online yesterday but yea for the most part, it sucked that NO carrier had the Fed-Del Potro match live. and then NBC had the nerve to show it today

on another note, does anybody think the Del Rio/Henderon riff will light a fire under Big John and let him be that Pro Bowl DT?

Watching Jaguars/Steelers from 07 on NFL Replay, the regular season snow game that Fred Taylor beasted out.

That game was the pinnacle of the JDR era. They had a 20-play TD drive, ran the ball with impunity, and maintained their upper hand in the playoff race. It all went down from there, honestly. The playoff game gave away shades of what was destined to happen the next round and last year, what with the declining defense. And of course, Fred Taylor is no longer a Jag.

And of course, that was Garrard's fedora game. god this game was such win.

You know I was just thinking about what kind of first drive I wanted the Jags to have against Indy in Sept. My first thought: 11 plays, 75 yards, 8:30.
That's JAX football.

I didn't even really know Fargin very well, but ever since I found out about it yesterday I've sorta been out of it.

I saw the Northcutt news. That is very odd considering an article a week ago that had some praise for him. And it's not like the Jags WR depth chart is loaded w/talent. Very odd.

Thing is, we have a bunch of younger, cheaper wide receivers that can punt return better than him and can play the slot nearly at his level (with the upside to do better).

With Thomas and Dillard, he just didn't have a spot.

well...theoretically. They could bust.

I guess I'm okay with the move.

Lets get serious, Reggie celebrated FIRST DOWNS like they were game winning OT scores. He had talent but no f*ing brain.

And on the Matt Jones subject, in retrospect, Shack using a first round pick on a serious position change player was moronic.

The Gene Smith Era begins. Call it the Era of Logic.

I loved Reggie Williams and people overblew the "celebrating" first downs. The last two seasons he did not celebrate routine 5 yard catches like he did in previous seasons. Well doesn't matter now, he blew it

I'm glad we have the receivers signed and ready to go. Here's to hoping the rest get signed soon.
