Foster is ridiculously hilarious in My Name is Earl. Need to watch those episodes if you haven't. I really do like him as an actor, he does need to pick the right roles as mentioned before to really catapult his career to the next level though.

3:10 to Yuma was great. SPOILER WARNING!!! Love it, just wish Christian Bale could have lived. Russell Crowe and his gun draw quickness was awesome.

oh, you're THAT guy...I understand, say no more....you are clearly more knowledgeable more than me, oh wise watcher of the Foster films...

I must be the only one who does not like Ben Foster as an actor. In fact, I dislike him. Maybe it is the roles I have seen him play, I do not know.

I don't dislike him, but he's not the best young actor out there like Gonzo proclaims...

Hahaha. I am just being a prick. But admit it, you were being a bit of one to. I truly believe that Ben Foster will be the better actor, and I judge young actors based on potential as well as how good they are now. I am sorry I attacked your film knowledge, I just took offense to you attacking him. I guess coming off watching him in Six Feet Under and seeing another great ******* performance just reiterated how great he is to me. I also doubt you have seen everything that Foster has done, because neither have I.

ok, all is forgiven...obviously it's all opinion, so yours are as good as mine...
I just think Affleck is the better young actor...

You are entitled to that opinion. I have really liked Affleck for a while now and I look forward to some of the roles he gets now after Jesse James and Gone Baby Gone. I just like Foster better. He has shown how ******* intense of an actor he can be at such a young age and I can't wait to see him develop. I think some of my love for him has to do with the fact that he is pretty unknown and I like to go against the grain.
I do suggest that everyone watch Six Feet Under. Ben Foster appears starting in season 3 and he is at his finest.

Could someone please explain me to how Michael Clayton got nominated for Best Picture over La Vie En Rose and In the Valley Elah...I liked Michael Clayton, but those two other films were much better than Michael Clayton

Finally watching Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford. Should have my oh-so-important star rating up tonight and where it ranks with the other 2007 movies for me.
And to respond to previous posts, Michael Clayton ruled. Im glad it was nominated, though it had zero chance to win.

Have you seen La Vie En Rose or In the Valley of Elah yet? I liked Michael Clayton, but I thought those two films should have been nominated over Michael Clayton

Just watched Hard Candy. Hardcore stuff. Weird to see Ellen Page as that character not long after seeing Juno. She's amazing though.

Ellen Page really shows her acting flare in that movie...basically owning 70% of all the dialogue...
and in a movie that had around 7 whole cast members...definitely under rated...

Juno was a masterpiece of modern story telling...the plot was great, the acting was even better and the writing was outstanding...I can easily see how it got nominated...

I just didn't see what was so special about it, it had its moments, but meh, I didn't think it belonged with the other four movies.

that's the beauty...there were so many good movies this year that you could make the case for a number of movies being snubbed and not deserving of a nomination...
