First reviews for the avengers are out.
Quote:
we can now safely say that according to pretty much every single person who saw it, "The Avengers" was totally awesome.
File this one under #believethehype.
In fact, that's pretty much exactly what Variety had to say, as they tweeted "Not a false note. Innovative. BRUTAL. And goddamn funny. Hype = believe it. It’s the bomb. I could not possibly say enough."
And "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau echoed those sentiments with a simple two word review: "Great premiere."
So what else were people saying? It looks like there are three things everyone can agree on: The end of the movie is epic, director Joss Whedon deserves kudos and Mark Ruffalo makes the best Hulk yet. Here's a sample:
"The Avengers - Epic. EPIC! Everyone fights everyone, but it does deliver. Marvel's movies get better every single one. Hulk! HULK!!" - First Showing
"Just getting out of "The Avengers" world premiere. Thought the film was major. LOT of action, laughs and surprises. Hulk stole the show." - XXL Mag
"Seriously, if comic book movies are your thing, you will be fully satisfied by the concoction Joss Whedon has fixed for you with The Avengers." - Entertainment Weekly
"So that was AMAZING. Like, double plus awesome. Thank you Joss Whedon for giving us all the The Avengers movie we deserve." - Seth Green
"It. Was. Awesome! Ruffalo is terrific as Bruce Banner. Makes the role his, big time." - IGN
"THE AVENGERS. Finally, a Marvel film with a rousing finish. That third act is more than enough to make THE AVENGERS the best Marvel movie yet." - Ain't It Cool News
"The Avengers is pretty epic. There is probably more action in this film's climax than all the other Marvel movie combines!" - SlashFilm
"The Avengers was big, messy, fun. More importantly there's now nothing but Hawkeye fanfic swimming around in my head." - Movieline
"Absolutely loved THE AVENGERS. Was smiling from beginning to end. If you're a Marvel fan you're going to lose your sh*t in the theater. Also, the two things that made #THEAVENGERS amazing: the Hulk and the humor. Joss Whedon gets a 10 out of 10 on both of those." - Collider

Dam that movie is gonna be a hell of a good one. Can't wait until May. At least Marvel did something right here. So I wonder how long before a new batch of hero take new bad guys in the next movie.

The only thing they really did right was hiring Joss to direct. Everything else fell into place after that.

Couldn't agree more. ******* so excited to hear that right now. And thank god it sounds like there is a ton of action, especially the climax because if there is one thing to be said that is bad about the Marvel movies, its that the final confrontations are way to short.

I was disappointed about Norton not returning as Bruce Banner, but it's good to hear that Mark Ruffalo did an excellent job.

I'll be honest...I wanted Favreau to direct...I know how great Joss is but I'm a huge Favreau fan.

Ew, Farvreau would have made a 3 hour movie and ended it with two minutes of action.

Cabin In The Woods is getting real good reviews and I wanna see it, same with The Hunter starring Willem Defoe. Really want to see both of them. Anyone here see either?

At this point, I'd gladly take Ruffalo over Norton in general. Norton is so full of himself these days.

Whedon's a better storyteller than Favreau is.

Goon made me laugh heartily a respectable number of times. Good enough.
I have a desire during playoff time to do nothing but watch that, Youngblood, and some games.

I'm strongly considering buying tickets to the Avengers marathon day that certain AMC theaters are having. $40, starts at 11:30am and show all 6 movies ending with the midnight release of the Avengers.

Excellent news about The Avengers, now all we need is for the next Superman to not suck and we can finally have a JLA movie.

Am I the only one not that interested in The Avengers? I just don't understand the hype. Like cool, you threw a bunch of superheroes together and put Scarlett's huge knockers in there as well, it still looks like every other superhero movie ever only this time there will be the element of if they can co-exist and them all wanted to be top dog, but in the end they must team up to defeat this one guy and his "army". I mean most likely I will still end up paying to see it, but I just don't get the hype.

Joss Whedon wrote and directed it. Which means it will actually have a story and not MICHAEL BAY SPLOSIONS!

I love you.... how could you do this to me. How could you say something like this.
I mean this is like nerdgasm material for anyone who grew up on comics.

There is no other explanation to that post
