The opening sequence of 28 Weeks Later is one of my favorites from any movie. Thought I was about to witness the best zombie movie ever. (sigh)
I am with you 100 percent. The opening scene is brilliant. I was incredibly excited for the movie after that and was really let down. It wasn't bad but that opening was just so damn amazing.

I blame the kids surviving, because those kids sucked.

Seriously, **** those kids.
I found the opening just so refreshing so I am so used to seeing the played out family member getting turned/infected who ends up killing one or more people because they won't leave or just kill. It's the ******* rage virus, tough decisions must be made. Survival of the fittest. I would have been so much happier if the movie was just short vignettes of people making tough decisions and doing whatever it takes to survive. Instead we got way to much stupid ******* children.

This would have been fantastic. Although I did also enjoy the night vision scenes in the subway and them avoiding the sniper fire.

Movies are fun. I think the only ones I've seen this year are Avengers, Cabin in the Woods, and now 21 Jump Street. All very enjoyable. And there are good ones to look forward to all year at this point. Woooo!
Watched Drive last night on Netflix. I really liked it. It was pretty simple and straight forward but in a very clean way. It presented itself in a very realistic way way. The audio was a real highlight of the movie. It was probably one of the best movies I've seen that I didn't connect at all with the main character.
Eh most of them have been saying it has glaring weaknesses but enough bright spots to make it decent. I wont go in expecting it to be spectacular and will probably come out of it thinking it was a fun watch, but I doubt it will be much more than a fun summer pop corn flick. Plus anything Fassenbender is ok in my book.
