I'm not eagerly anticipating it. I'd rather see District 9, that's for sure. But you get a glimpse of Inception if you see Inglorious Basterds, in addition to the movie...so that strengthens its case a bit.

FINALLY! Its here! The trailer for Avatar...and well, Im interested to say the least. It looks uber cartoony, but also looks like it will have some badass effects. We will have to see I suppose. Anyways, here is the trailer.

Gotta say, there is some major flop potential here, it does indeed look very cartoony or video game like at times. And I'm not too sure that is a good thing. The CG is not amazing for the price. The primative looking aliens, conjure up thoughts of 10,000 B.C. gah. We'll see, some of it looked good, I'm not digging the aliens at all, though.

I think it's very disappointing, I was expecting much more. Luckily, I havent been following this movie for years, though. Some of the guys on the IMDB boards seem pretty pissed off that they wasted so much time on it. The fans seem pretty split on the sites I've visited. Some think it's amazing, groundbreaking, breathtaking...others say it looks like a cartoon/video game or is just plain god awful.

I certainly dont think it looks unwatchable or anything like that but, I'm certainly not on the people's side throwing out all the praise.

I think that while the trailer is disappointing, its important to remember it is just a trailer. I have no doubt that the visual effects will be tweaked numerous times before the film is actually released, hopefully to look a little less cartoonish.

James Cameron said he's been wanting to do this movie for like 15 years. It better be badass. I'm hyped for it just because of that.

Like I said on the last page, on Friday, I get to see a 16 minute section of the movie in IMAX 3-D. I am pretty excited.

That trailer wasn't disappointing... it was ******* terrible, but it is just a trailer, however, I can't believe the hype this movie is getting. I will never understand why movies like this, LOTR, Star Trek, or Star Wars are so popular.

It looks ********. The first 15 seconds... I thought it was a video game. The intentional exclusion of sound with a replacement of some constant ringing sound seems like either a bad idea, or they're hiding something (presumably in a good way, unless they haven't finished the sound mixing). 2012, to me, looks so much better visually, especially CGI wise. District 9 looks much better. This is not a movie I'll see in theaters, and unless it's universally praised, probably not a movie I'll ever end up seeing.

Was this adapted from a book or something? Where did this big following and all this anticipation come from?

James Cameron + $300 million budget = Instant fan following.

Plus the whole back story behind it was that he's been wanting to make it for 15-20 odd years but, the technology wasnt up to par yet. Adding more fuel to the hype flame.

It's long regardless, I'm sure. But I liked it. Good not great but, def. a good movie, imo. And Jackie Earle Haley is fantastic. Plus, I've always been a big fan of Crudup and Wilson. They were both good as well. As was Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I need to buy it as soon as I get a chance.

Malin Ackerman as a brunnette, though. Meh. She has the weirdest shaped face and the hair wasnt doing her any favors there.

Yeah, it was good. But some parts were a little dragged out or just weren't good. The sex scene was ridiculous.

and yes, I will be seeing Inglorious Basterds. I think I will like it.
