What are the shocking upsets of this season?
My question to everyone is which games are poised to be upsets in this coming season. There are a lot of very good non-conference games as well as some great in-conference games.
My pick is Washington over Ohio State in week three. I think that Ohio State lost a lot on their offense last year and might take this game for granted after playing Youngstown State. =D

I think Illinois is going to pull a big upset over one of the powerhouse Big Ten teams.

Should be is correct. We all know Zook can't coach at all.

It's not that hard to become a quality school when there is some extra persuasion that goes along during recruiting.

To do that they'll have to break one of the very best defenses in the country and stop Chris Wells. (but it is possible since they are at home, but Washington is not a good team)

#1 defense in 2005. Jimmy Williams, one of the top corners in the country, and Daryl Tapp, and what happened when we met in Jacksonville? At one point it was 27-3, and should have ended that way had it not been for Mickey playing prevent the rest of the way.

Didn't they lose something like 9 or 10 of their 11 defensive starters? Not to mention that Tebow has yet to prove he can be an effective passer. I'd be real surprised if Florida went back to back.

Off the top of my head, they lost:
Ryan Smith
Reggie Nelson
Earl Everett
Brandon Siler
Marcus Thomas
Ray McDonald
Jarvis Moss
That's all I can remember now.

I'm going to be at that game. While I obviously would be surprised if it happened, I wouldn't be completely shocked. The Badgers are always best when they are underrated, and always tend to disappoint when they are expected to do well. The fact that we're this highly rated off the bat scares me a little.

In the SEC...
Kentucky over Florida (at Kentucky) is the only one that would be considered an upset, let alone "shocking." Florida will have to outscore most of their opponents to win, and Kentucky boasts a great offense.
Maybe even Alabama over Auburn (at Auburn), if Saban converts to the 3-4 smoothly. But that game will be at the end of the season and is a BIG rivalry, so who knows.
