I really hope the press isn't sucked in by his statistical acheivements. I'm certainly not trivializing the numbers he put up last night\will continue to put up, but I would give the Heisman to a QB from a competitive\major conference who put up 30+ td's with 10 or fewer picks and won some big games\performed in the clutch over Brennan and his inflated numbers any day of the week.

He may not win, but that doesn't mean he has no chance. Going to NY and being one of the finalist would be a great achievement in and of itself. He has a real chance of doing that.

If McFadden does like he did last year he should win it. Booty's not THAT good, just a solid QB on USC where they get stats in that system no matter who they throw in, and McFadden runs and throws for TDs. If Louisville goes unbeaten Brohm should be in the top 2 as well IMO.

There are still 11 games to go in the season. But you're an Ohio State fan, I wouldn't expect you to use logic.

Colt Brennan is at the top right now, but so many other guys are right there with him. It should be tight to the end if this week is any indication.

Brennan at the top? Nah. Top 10, yeah, I'd say top 10.

Top 3:
Darren McFadden
Brian Brohm
John David Booty

Ignoring Preseason hype he is. His numbers were ridiculous. Those other guys you mentioned started the year at the top so if you use that logic they should remain there. I think there should be a clean slate to start the season.

Oh. That makes more sense. Brennan did put on a show. I was at the game, I thought 10 TDs was a possibility.... Imagine if June Jones had allowed him to play more. I'm terribly afraid of our back up QBs... Seriously...

I can't believe this thread. I swear people don't know how the Heisman works. Hart and Colt have zero chance combined. I'll give anyone 50-1 that doesn't agree.

Rather than just rant about how stupid everyone is, why don't you explain "how the heisman works" to the rest of us

I have to throw Ryan Torain's name in there. He was unstoppable last night. 17 carries for 123 yards in the first half and 2 carries in the 3rd. 7.3 yards a carry, had 3 touchdowns, and had another 17 yarder called back.

Even if he did that he still wouldnt win. His schedule is way to easy. You dont think if John David Booty had that schedule he couldnt put up them numbers? Or if McFadden had it he wouldnt rush for 300 a game? Its like you going out with 5 of your friends and playing five 6 year olds. Of course your going to win everytime.

If JDB had that schedule he would not throw for 6,000 yards or over 50 Td's let alone approach 60. However, Run DMC would probably run for 500 a game.

Just 50-1? Oh wow, big balls. LMAO.

What do you think the odds are of either of them making it to the final 3 going to NY?

There could be more then 3 going to New York couldnt there? The only reason why there was only 3 last year because there was noone else even close to them 3.

Not only can Brennan put up even better numbers than last year, but Hawaii may very well go undefeated. If they have an 11 or 12 win season, I see no reason why Brennan wouldn't at least be invited to New York.
