Why would you wait when recruiting etc is so important? Carr wanted to retire right away so Michigan could start looking for a new coach and get things rolling. I'm sorry, you don't hold off on things and potentially handicap yourself in terms of recruiting etc. so that you don't "create a distraction" for another team. Sorry LSU and Miles, Michigan comes first to Michigan.
