Alabama did stop the run in the first half. As I said in the second the lack of depth... or more so Darren Mustin's injury is what set the Arkansas running game off.
I was very impressed by both teams. Arkansas lost this game because of bad coaching while Alabama won with great coaching and Nick Saban's "4th Quarter Conditioning" offseason program.
I don't get how both teams looked bad? Maybe its because LSU is one of the top 2 teams in the country this year and you aren't used to watching other teams play. Both teams looked great and both will have highly successful seasons.
EDIT: Can I add that Arkansas started passing more on first down to keep the defense in check. That is when their running game got rolling. They are the best at what they do.... They won the SEC West last year....
