I gotta disagree with whoever said the Bears defense is better. First of all, the 3-4 defense is more difficult to face than the Cover 2 that the Colts face every practice. Plus against 4-3 defenses, Manning usually has his better games. Unless the Bears blitz, they wont get a whole lot of pressure on him. And when they do blitz, Manning will make them pay since he is the best QB against the blitz. Plus nobody is talking bout our defense either. Giving Sanders and the rest of that D an extra week of rest will only make them faster. I see Grossman getting rattled at times during this game making some key mistakes and turnovers that will result in a Colts win.

2 Sided coin buddy. The Bears defense will have an extra week of rest two, rest at this point isn't a factor. And the Bears defense is better than the Pats, they forced 9 more turnovers in the regular season. Grossman has made fewer mistakes than Manning this post-season, and the Colts defense isn't that good.

Just stop right there dude. Chicago is a top 5 defense; Indy, ummm no so much my friend.
Our defense beats your defense, your offense beats our offense. That's how I see it.

 So wrong.
As for the current topic of discussion, IMO both the Pats and Ravens have defenses that are as good or better than the Bears' defense, especially given the current injury situation for the Bears. If they had Tommie Harris and Mike Brown, it would be a completely different story, but since losing Harris, the Bears' defense has allowed 23.8 PPG, which is worse than even the Colts' regular season average.

Nevermind the fact that most of those games were meaningless.
We played the #1 offense in the NFL last week and held them to 14 points.

I hate reading all of these articles about Peyton Manning winning the Super Bowl. It's like they are proclaiming the Colts to be the Super Bowl 41 champions and that does not make me feel good at all. Granted, the Steelers apparently won the SB after beating Indy but nonetheless, I'm concerned.

Okay, if you're going to say this, get it right: the Bears held the #1 YARDAGE offense in the NFL to 14 points. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought the goal was to score, not to get a lot of yardage. The Saints were the 5th best scoring offense in the NFL.

Ok, then by your estimation, the Bears offense is just as good as the Colts right? Cause we scored just as many points this year as you did right? Hmm....

Your defense, special teams, and opponents helped your point toatls tremendously. D and ST alone accounted for over 4 points per game for the Bears.

I never said it wasn't, but to put the Bears' offense on equal ground with the Colts' offense when the Bears' defense and special teams scored 58 more points for them than the Colts' defense and special teams is just not right.

But if the only determening factor is points scored, the Bears should be the favorites, as we scored just as many points as the Colts, while giving up much less per game.

Which is why on-field play, not statistical performance prior to the game, is the only determining factor.
