She called him Aaron, indicating that she took Claire's kid.

I knew it was Aaron too.
I predicted a twist involving Aaron several pages back in this thread a few weeks ago. So much was made in Season 1 with the Psychic telling Claire that she had to be the one to raise Aaron and everything, and we waited and waited and expected something to happen with Aaron through all of seasons 1,2, and 3, and nothing ever did.
It's a good twist though.

Yeah, it wasn't that surprising a twist. But at least it was still a solid episode.

Well, we can pretty safely assume that this 8 people he refers to include Michael and Walt.
Note that Jack does not deny that there was an island, and that they survived on it for quite some time. There was much doubt before this episode as to whether or not the island was ever a part of the coverup story.

The promo for next week shows Desmond and Daniel together at the very end of it. Clearly this must be in a flash-forward, as it is Desmonds turn for that next week. We know that Daniel gets off the island too now.
And what was up with Daniel and Charlotte with the cards? I will have to re-watch that scene again . . . really strange.

Anyone have a guess as to how old Aaron was in that final scene? It gives us a good indication as to how long Kate and Jack and Co. have been off the island at that point.
It has definitely been over a year . . .

I saw the ending coming when they had that long drawn out scene with Kate, Claire, and Aaron when they were doing the laundry. That was a dead giveaway. They threw in a sex scene with Sawyer as misdirection.

I think the kid looked about 2 years old. So that's probably about how long they've been off the island.

The most intriguing scene, to me anyway, was the "extortion" of Ben by Miles. Could that be how he gets off the Island? It sure looked like he wanted to take that deal.

The promo for next week also shows a character we have never seen before busting open the door of what looks like the cellar Ben is held in.

I think you are right. I just went back and looked. There was another character in the shot who I originally thought was Locke, but it was actually another new character. Bald guy with glasses. I guess I saw blad originally and throught Locke.

Great episode this week. By the way, Xio, I love your Walt theory. It makes perfect sense.

Next week we get a Desmond flashback. Good! Desmond is one of my favorite characters. (count me on the Kate Hate club)

It's pretty obvious Daniel has some problem with short term memory loss. He obviously does not have prolonged amnesia, but short term seems to be right. I believe that is why he is so scattered. As to why, I have no idea. Also, how does Charlotte know how to train him with his problem what ever it is?

Charles Widmore makes an appearence next week, as does Penny.
The only question is whether or not that is via flash-forward or if they surprise us all and they're on the freighter or something . . . doubtful but possible.

One of the biggest questions brought up by season 3's finale in which Kate said "he's going to be wondering where I am" (or something similar, I can't remember word for word) seems to have been revealed. Most assumed that "he" was Sawyer, but now it appears that it was Aaron she was talking about.

This is true.
I never believed Sawyer was the one Kate was referring to in the finale. For one thing, it would have been too obvious an answer for this show. But I was also never of the belief that Sawyer was one of the Oceanic Six.
Look for my first blog entry for this episode in a few hours.

I read that we are going to get another "Desmond Flash." Hopefully it is as good as the last time.
