I doubt either Russia or Qatar would be problematic for Americans. If people are targeted for robberies or whatever, it's because you are a tourist.

Russia's pretty cool towards Americans since a lot of Russians still feel like them and America are the only real great nations left. Shouldn't be dangerous if you're not absolutely ********, especially with the FSB working security for the event.

Brazil is worrisome, but I think that as long as tourists stick to main areas and not out too late at night, it should be fine. I get the impression that when there is something like the World Cup going on, countries go all out for security.
As for Russia and Qatar, I would actually feel safer in those because Russia knows they would be under the microscope, and Qatar wants to keep their relations with the US as best they can. Not too worried about "terrorism" in Qatar, there are already a lot of Americans living there now.

My biggest worry is that if Germany wins, even if they don't beat Brazil, I would be such a horrible troll that a random fan will probably just shank me for being a douchebag. :-/

I'm not sure whether the people responding to my post are agreeing or disagreeing with me. Russia and Qatar are more likely than Brazil to have Americans targeted because of various world events that have happened and could happen between then and now, but like I said, that's extremely unlikely because of how extensive security measures are at these events, as neither country wants that type of reputation.

I actually really like this Portugal team. I think they'll inevitably fall to Spain, but I think they could make serious problems for them. Ronaldo's been on this tournament.

Wow, I know it's Greece, but that's still a risk.

Klose makes a lot more sense. Against a defensive team like them you want to have a player that is good at holding the ball. There wouldnt be a whole lot of crosses that would find gomez.

I was completely drunk earlier, but seem to remember Reus scoring a volley, Lahm apparently scoring a screamer and Klose scored a header?
Lol, when i'm drunk with my mates I watch Germany vs Greece. God I need to get a life.
Soccer is the best!

Ok, does Lahm's goal remind anyone of the goal he scored in 2006? Samaras scored against Germany...They should be ashamed! If England beat Italy,(Very unlikely), there is no way we are beating Germany!

The italian counter attack does scare me more.
Props to Reus, he's coming off a phenomenal season and played great today, reminded everyone what a great shot he has, made some very clever runs, showed his slick passing and used his great speed to get back on D. Hope he, Mueller and Klose get the start ahead of Oezil, Schweini and Khedira in our next game, and that Monchendgladbach are able to overcome his loss.
They're doing well so far, and if they pick up Hoilett, Luuk de Jong and a starting CB, like they're rumored to be after, they'll be a very dangerous team next year. Hermanns and Arrango are strong wingers, Nortveldt is a tough holder, Xhaka is very talented and should look great next to him. If that front line can stay as smooth and crafty as it was with Reus, they'll be really exciting to watch.
